I don't think the RS has a huge FN logo stamped on it; if it's like the G&G F2000, then CG messed it up.

Sorry I'm nitpicky about these kinds of things XD.

I'd also like to add that having held and shot a real P90, the molding on the upper receiver is a lot less "clean" looking than ANY airsoft receiver I've ever seen. The molding/casting/whatever actually looks pretty suitcase-y on the real thing.

I'm sure you're much more familiar with the factories and such, but it just seems odd to me that CG would go through the amount of effort to change all the things that appear to be different between the CG and JP SIG 556s.(grip, stock, upper rail, etc.) not to mention that what I've read from people who have handled both is that there is a difference in the overall feel.

those things you mention easy to change if you got the money to do it and surely CG does. after you change things, feeling surely changes also. Typical trick with Echo1 also they try to hide origins by modifying it a little all around to justify their markup on top

I have held the ka p90 in person and the over all feel of the materials used is very nice with good fit and finish. I also took a little peak inside and found a couple of updates it has a quick release spring system and the mount holding the gear box in looked like it had a bit of reinforcing done. Every thing else appeared to be Tm compadible. I will be looking for one of these to pick up as soon as I can find one.

Gotta love it when people spam forums with SEO garbage

Mod edit: Gotta love it when people comment about SEO garbage rather than reporting the problem....

I'm sorry what? SEO doesn't ring any bells with me I'm afraid. I was thinking someone had an update for the questions asked in this thread, instead I get SEO?

Sorry guys it was some nasty spammer...and sorry Mods I meant to report it after my wise crack comment but got distracted...now back to the featured story.

Really interested in this if it ends up having good quality internals and built with good quality materials. Used to have the TM version and its one AEG I miss, hope they do the scope version as well as the rail one though.

I heard this will be in the US at a price point around 169.99 at retailers. Good work at Cybergun*? for driving the price down for us, just like they did for the ICS Sig series of rifles and the G&G F2000 ... Maybe they wernt as bad as I thought afterall.

I had seen the preorder at Evike come out last week at about $160 (you can see the evidence here: http://www.airsoftforum.com/board/Pre-Order-Estimated-Arriv-t240552.html ). The price appears to have jumped to $230 now, and I'm kind of kicking myself for not grabbing it at $160. One of the various reasons I ended up not preordering it was the pictures on the page. The main image doesn't match what the product actually is. You'll notice the upper receiver is "wrong." And, because of the price, I had this odd feeling that it would somehow be some cheaper version with externals akin to other P90s in that price range (i.e. the E90 and the CA90 sportline) and that another version would be coming out. The description does say that the receiver is ABS. Then, with the expected release being sometime in March, I had this feeling I wouldn't be getting the gun until like June based on some of Evike's past ETAs. And then there's fact that I just spent almost $2000 on my car (insurance, repairs, etc) in the past month, and I'm looking into upgrading my camera/lenses, so that $160 seemed an unnecessary expense... Now, if other retailers get them in and start selling them, even closer to $180-200, I may just get one at that price, eventually.

And, regarding the ICS SIG series, they started at a relatively high price of about $320, though it was really closer to $290 once you factor in the discounts coupons US retailers often have. That was when they came with that red velvety tray (because presentation does matter to an extent), 2 mags, a 10-page color instruction manual, and a jar of BBs. They are now closer to $200, but come in a basic grey plastic tray, only 1 mag, single folded black and white instruction sheet, and no BBs. That, and I think some of the quality of the externals has changed (for the worse), and it just lowers my opinion of the ICS SIG series, at least based on my relatively recent purchase of a (second) ICS SIG 551. So, as far as I can tell, it's not Cybergun bringing down the price, it's ICS cutting down on what they're providing. I hardly believe that Cybergun has a say in what the pricing of their licensed products being sold by other companies is. It would be hard to say what the pricing would be like without the need for licensing because for all we know, it would be cheaper.

That said, I'm fine with Cybergun as long as they continue to continue to give permission and license some of the better companies making SIGs and P90s...
