I only wish Ares stick to their word.... And hope to make a decent gun.... I've so far nothing but bad experiences from their guns(I have DSR-1,M200 and WA2000) and their customer services! I hope it wont be vsr compatible like the WA2K!! That will suck!

I really want an M40a5/a3 and this is the best opportunity to actually get one.

What was so wrong with the WA 2000? I had one and it was pretty nice and well built. And it's as reliable as the Geneth, minus 500 some-odd dollars. Only bad part I observed was the stipple-less wood stock and foregrip and the comb, which was made of ugly wood.

I find if Ares can stick to spring over gas, then they could make some fine sniper rifles.

This is off topic. First of all the bb hopper, you never know when it's empty. You think it's empty but if you move the gun up down it will load and another bb and then and another ....

Second at a skirmish I removed the fake mag ( I didn't want to lose it) and the a piece fell off and lost!!

The quality is ok but it's not a cheap gun.
I have the Geneth and the Asahi and I have something to compare it.

Also I lost parts and from the DSR1 at the very first skirmish with it.
I'm sorry but I can't call Ares a reliable brand.

This looks good, but if I decide to get it when it comes out, it'll most likely be to put the stock onto my Tanaka! Although I'll see how good the rifle is first, but I'm not expecting much internally... I've seen a few rifles claiming to VSR compatible, when the cylinder and trigger systems are unique.

I'll keep an eye on this one for now...

Is it just me, or that stock looks ridiculously cheap? Anyway, I was waiting for something like this so I can scavenge the stock and put my Tanaka M700 internals in it...

The first thing I thinked was: "Ohh damn... That's why I worked on my M40a3 for years??" But when I looked at the pictures it made me happy because it looks a POS, like a half blinde monkey made it from soap or something :D (If you want to know what I mean you find my pictures is the sniper thread)

A VSR compatible bolt action for $200 that bares more than a similarity to the M40A3/5. With some krylon and a bit of scrim, who is going to know?

Bring it on, I say.

Maybe it's enough for you, but I'm maximalist, and if I pay for something it has to be perfect.

The only way to be perfect is to buy the actual McMillan A4 stock....

Actually I might buy one for my Tanaka this summer!
