I almost shat myself...$1.4k????? Unless it was made from ground unicorn horns and unobtainium, I don't see why anyone would buy it.

For some reason I had the impression that this had been out already, though that was probably me confusing it with KTW's Mosin Nagant release...Either way, the price is still pretty disappointing, even without comparing it to real steel...but then again its KTW so its not like we could expect any less =u=;. Different market I suppose?...

I wish that one company (forgot the name) that was planning on making a gas enfield would actually make it >_>;

Oh look, a plastic gun that costs a grand (English) has so low power its not usable as a sniper and with no upgrade prospects whatsoever. Oh, and the retarded magazine, lets not forget that!

Can someone who isn't KTW please make a Lee Enfield please?

Why does RedWolf list it as a blowback? It's a bolt action springer!

The Mosin Nagant was horrible! Plastic parts that flexed, incorrect wood material, poor power and accuracy, lack of upgrades. First time I ever regreted paying too much for something made in limited numbers, and I'm not doing it again with the Enfield...

Dont forget the yen has doubled in strength against the pound in the last 2 years. That means its twice as much as it actually should be. Still, its very expensive. However, unless you've had one you won't understand how good they are. Not sure what gunman was on about, my KTW Mosin is one of the most solid, reliable and accurate guns I've ever owned. And that has been a lot before anyone makes any jokes. You do occasionally get a lemon but any KTW I've ever fired (mosins, winchesters, randalls, flintlocks, shotguns) have had the best range and accuracy for the fps. Yes, the fps is low, but that just goes to show what range and accuracy you can get out of a gun without having to resort to ridiculously high fps.
Anyone who says that 300 fps or lower is too low and is unusable in a skirmish has never come up against a KTW.
However, I'm sure Zeta Labs or someone will do a full metal clone soon. Yeah, they'll have some issues, but they'll be a lot cheaper.

I have a spas12 by ktw and I love it (for the price). Yes it is entirely made of plastic (except for the after market folding stock, which is metal, not sure what type though), but it shoots well once the hop is adjusted correctly. I hope the price of this is just a wild exaggeration, as they will not sell at thta price.

Except KTW is based in South Korea.
The absurd price is pretty much normal from the company. While they do make cheap and cheerful plastic springers (SPAS, M37, 1873 etc.) they also make full metal, top craftsmanship, low production models like this one (like Nagant, M70, Type 96 LMG at a whopping $2,800)

You wanna die with a man's gun. Not a little sissy gun like that.

Dong San is based in Korea, KTW is in Japan. You can only get a KTW No 4 from Japan. Most of the cheaper, plastic guns come straight from Korea. Anything with wood goes from Korea to Japan first, so has to be paid for in Yen.

I recall when real steel, range-ready, clean bore No4 could be had for £150- £175 and they threw in a can of that hot Greek .303 and a bucket of stripper clips.....*sigh*

£1000 for a copy with unknown skirmishability, robustness and upgradeability/replacement?....One for the collectors methinks

Same reason they list it as Semi Auto and a RealisticReplica of Flintlock Mechanism, they can't be arsed to proof read their website properly.

All of a sudden the S&S seems quite affordable...

This is just a re-release by KTW. They had made a batch some years ago and they were pretty high priced then, altbough not 1,400 USD.
