No Type-88? They showed it on the last IWA iirc. I hope they didn't drop it.

I think they are pouring all resources into getting their M4/M16's on the market as they will be the real money makers.

The QBU-88 & Type 97 LMG are niche products and unlikely to sell a whole lot.
I still hope they release them eventually though, I REALLY want the LMG.

I have been waiting some time for these Real Sword AR15s, every gun of Real Swords's that I've seen has been of a very high quality.
I have returned.

WE vs. RealSword.

The winner is obvious. XD

At least RealSword will use quality internal parts while WE internal parts will be made of the same cheese they used for their other stuff.

YOU SEE THAT WE? YOU SEE THAT STEEL BOLT? GUESS WHAT YOU FORGOT TO INCLUDE IN YOUR **** UP UNTIL NOW?

Seems to me a smart move, and that theyve reevaluated their place in the airsoft market. More or less sportlines (like M4s) make money. And with the name RS attached I dont see how they cant sell as long as they dont fall apart lol

yes, I think so too, this way they get more money and probably use it to expand their "proline" lines, which is great for everyone. Just hope they improve the rebranded guns with decent hop rubbers and average FPS readings instead the useless buckings and excesive FPS from ACM guns....

Does this mean that the full bolt AEG Real Sword M4 we've all been so excited about has been a GBBR and not an AEG since the beginning? This is a bit confusing.

tharwig:

Thanks for that.

Bolt and nozzle on the M4 looks very similar to WA system. I'd say even exactly the same.

The biggest benefit of the WA system is its compatibility with of the shelf "real steel" parts. If Real Sword can improve nozzle consistency while maintaining that level of compatibility, I'm sold. It wouldn't hurt if they improved upon Inokatsu's price point. It would also be nice to maintain some parts compatibility with WAM4 aftermarket, such as receiver, trigger group and outer barrel for instance, since people have already invested a lot into that. The plastic nozzle is a good sign.

The description of the SVD magazine indicates that there will be an expansion tank and a storage tank, with the expansion tank being maintained at a constant pressure by a control valve. I've been hoping for this type of implementation in a gas-in-mag GBBR for the longest time. We'll see if it works well (if the valve can react quickly enough, i.e., if the "gain is high enough" in control speak). I don't think cooldown will be much of an issue in 28-shot semi-only, but FPS consistency would definitely be a welcome change.

I'd be happy if they can hit $600 for the M4 and keep the SVD under $1000.

Has anyone heard of release dates? I will definitely be saving up for that SVD.

GBBR: 7.5" Diplomat, 10.4" HK416 D10RS, 10.3" CQBR Block 2, 16" Recce (WIP), 20" M16A4, Romanian PM md. 90/POSP
GBBP: TM SIG P226 Elite, TM Glock 17, KSC USP45, WA SCW3 Infinity Single Stack 6" IED, TM Jim Boland .38 Super Project (WIP).

Everything I own is for sale, if offered a fair price.

I think real sword is using the M4 to show off their GBBR line and the M16 to make the same with their AEG line, I believe they use the M16 even if it isnot as popular as the M4 as they may have not developed the internals of the buffer tube

Totally guessing there :)

They are most definitely making a GBB and an AEG.

From the video, it sounds like Real Sword have shelved their M4 product development for now. According to them they feel it isn't the right time in the market to be developing the gun. I would strongly disagree myself since in my opinion, the M4 AEG platform has essentially stagnated for years with some (but limited) developments. My gut tells me that either they're having technical issues with the design, or it's costing too much in R&D, or what I've also seen in some cases like this, they're struggling to manufacture the product that would be at a price point that's commercially viable (read as: the product would be very expensive).

I'd pay a lot for an AEG that has truer manual of arms similar to a GBBR but more reliable in a greater range of atmospheric conditions and that I can do proper emergency/speed reloads on.
