Have You seen this one already ?

Actually I'm not really convinced by idea of checking how many BB's left inside. They could at least add some optional bullet graphics to attach.

I kind of like it. I'm the player who'll always forget to reload before bursting into assault. Now this is an easy way to check how much ammo I've left.
But now... are these REAL PTS's ? I don't like spin-offs and green label as they tend not to feed a lot in my experience...

But thanks for pointing them out :)

Awesome idea, wish they'd done it sooner before I'd bought all my other P/EMAGs.

We need some products out there which are skirmish practical, purely to counteract the abundance of Element CATs that every man and his dog has elastic-banded to his PC. Not that there's anything wrong with people doing that in airsoft, just saying.

They remind me of LPEG/springer mags oddly, although I do like them, it's times like this I wish I had an AEG that took M4 mags.

Well, I cant see a customs person really going "Oh dear, that looks like a banana mag and its not an AK mag... CALL THE UMAREX HOTLINE!"...somewhere in germany, a lawyer picks up a red flashing plastic phone, V1s are launched at your house...etc etc

i think it is a great idea... to the point where 3 weeks ago i acquired a spare mag body for my ctw with the sole intent of doing something similar as a tester.

I have painted a fluorescent area under the BB feed.

I need to cut out an opening on the mag casing that lets you see the spring and the marker on the inner mag and see if i can get some thin perspex on the inside of the outer case so it is a window and keeps all the rubbish and debris out.

I will then load the rounds and mark on the body where the fluorescent marker is sitting, probably in increments of twenty.

I will post up photos etc when sorted.

YES CLEAR PMAGS!!!!!!

Looks worse for airsoft, but hey, at least they made it to market unlike RS clear PMAG's. :)

These mags are actually pretty awesome. I've been using them for around 8 months now for T&E. I only had 4 TMAGs and I basically found myself continuously reloading those in preference over my other non-translucent mags.

The whole project came about one day when we were discussing mags and I divulged that although I have an insane amount of PMAGs, for big OPs, I had a tendency to favor my much less expensive King Arms Lancer mags. I like the KA lancer mags as they allowed me to look down in the middle of a firefight, quickly evaluate the number of rounds I had left and decide on how I wanted to proceed with ammunition management (swap mags, or continue with what I've got in the gun). I pointed out that there was a clear precedence to produce PTS TMAGs since real Magpul TMAGs had been R&D years back (but never went to market). So after consistently bringing it up for a year during almost every meeting, we finally decided to give it a go.

I really like these mags. They're not so clear that from a few feet away it screams you have BBs in the mag. But they're also not so dark you'd have a hard time seeing how many rounds you have in the gun. They feed incredibly well. Just as well as any of my regular PTS PMAGs. The plastic isn't brittle like some of the other clear polymers I've seen over the year. It makes ammo management a breeze plus as you're reloading a mag you never have to wonder if your mag is loaded to capacity or not since you can actually see how far you've reloaded it. Hands down my favorite mags.

The suggestion someone made regarding making fake bullet paper inserts/stickers isn't a horrible one. It just kinda nullifies the intent of the translucent mag ... which is for ID'ing approximately how many rounds you have left. That said, I have toyed with the idea of printing fake bullets onto thin acetate sheet to be used in the mags. Playing around with a certain amount of opacity, you should be able to still see the BB capacity upon examination and yet give the illusion that the mag has real 5.56mm rounds in it.

Darn. These would come out the day after I buy 5 PTS 120rd PMAGs in FDE. <_<

I guess I'll just have to pick some of these up as well.

While in no way an attractive magazine, it's definitely a good idea.

Well writing about some fake bullet inserts (because it was me ;) ) I had exactly something like that on my mind :).

Personally I think the Mags are perfect for practical airsoft use the way they are, light, robust, discreet, let you see the remaining BBs at first glance, great capacity (although I prefer 75 rounders), and reliable feeding, So using fake bullets would defeat the porpuse of a translucent mag

Now waiting for wgc to sell these =p

They have it at Tokyo Model Co. too; I'll probably grab one for the heck of it since I have a spare Ranger plate.

It's a very practical idea, especially when you've run out of fresh mags and are reaching for those that you "tac reloaded" earlier. If I hadn't recently upgraded to PTS EMAGS I would be thinking about buying a stack of them.

It's more likely that they don't actually have them yet. In the past they've listed new items (regular listing, not "coming soon" or preorder) and cancelled orders for them when the stock never materialized.

If only I didn't have 9 PMAGS already. :(

Might have to phase these or the KA Lancers in if I lose any of my others.

I like my KA Lancers. I still use them occasionally. That said, they're the older style lancer mag which are a little thicker than STANAGs due to the rubbing so they can be a bit tough to draw from some pouches. Also, the Lancer's plastic can chip if dropped (mine aren't in the best of aesthetic conditions). They're great mags though, feed well and for the price hard to beat. I like both the Lancers and these new TMAGs.

These our really an awesome Idea and I can see the tactical advantage of the magazines, I will spend some money and own a few. I can see the next rendition being a combination of a tradition pts pmag and the new Tmags. In fact I think I might break out the masking tape and some paint and tape off where the bb sit in the magazine so where I can still see them and then paint the rest of the mag. To give it that airsoft version of windowed pmag.
