Spotted this on the homepage, thought I'd bring it here to talk about.

I'm sure most of us saw this coming, Its a shame they haven't designed the 10 round mags to go with it.

The choice for my next rifle just got a lot harder, get a dirt cheap WE G36c + TBB + SL8 kit = win!

I just hope the kit comes in cheaper than the rifle...

very nice, looks like a lot of fun, I'd question the usefulness of 10 round mags in a GBB, would you get enough gas in there?

Well if a standard G39 mag has enough gas for 60+ rounds at a steady pace, Im sure there would be enough in a small mag for 10 rounds.

When i saw the topic, i was already trowing my money at the screen.
This made the choise of next ggb weapon clear. I do not need a kc-02 or a kwa kriss...... for now

Maybe for sniper rifle single shots are O.K., but for Full auto... it is not.

The SL8 is supposed to be built as a DMR...even on single shots that wobble will screw up accuracy at long ranges.

I just got a whole lot less excited, was it REALLY that hard to put a block on the selector? I wonder if anything can be done to stabilise that barrel

Even G&P G36 handguards have a small plastic piece that holds the outer barrel in place.

that youtube video is from Oct 2011...are you sure that's a video of the same conversion we are talking about and not some random guy who make a "custom" conversion?

Hmmm will wait for the full copy to come out ... I would absolutely love an SL8 with a 10 round mag mainly because I would give birth to kittens myself over having one.

... But dat wobble man .... >.<

It's looks nice but that wobble is terrible...
I guess we'll wait to see the WE kit...

I dont get where the wobble is stemming from. My G36 is rock solid once the barrel nut is tight.

Probably potmetal/plastic bending.

Yes, but where? if its using the same barrel and hop up as the WE G39, I dont see how it can wobble when firing like that. My G39 doesn't require any stabilization for the barrel. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Looks cool, for me its not about this product its about manufacturers looking at GBBRs more and making more 'bits' for them like AEGs. Maybe one day soon GBBRs will have as many parts as the AEG world!

None the less does look pretty cool! Allways loved the look of SL-8s and SL-9s

I think it is from the barrel extension.

No matter how solid the base is; the much longer extension is screwed on and can be very wobbly(just look at most CA G36; Barrel assembly is solid, long barrel gets wobbly at flashhider). And plastic body is going to flex a little bit so the longer barrel is, the more easily it is seen.

Some day some company(probably WE since they love cutting cost) need to make a ONE PIECE G36-length barrel assembly, that should easily cure this problem.
