you mean forgetting characters exist, adding cgi that doesn't need to be there, making stuff up and doing the same thing every movie? I think you'll find that resident evil started out that way, so its hard for it to turn into that...

The opening scene of the first one (with the Marilyn Manson/Slipknot track) was cool, as was the laser hallway. Probably five minutes total watchable in four films.

Haha, I guess that's true; they did pretty much start like that. Going by that, there should be about 1 min and a few seconds worth of watchable material in this new one. Maybe I'll give it a try then :P
