Marushin MP40 GBB is released. Only place I see it in stock so far is DEN. $225. If it wasn't 8mm, I would probably get one. The "vintage" version is supposed to be out in December according to Airsoft-News.EU.

I've never been a fan of the MP40, but since I saw the demo videos (currently up on YouTube) of the blowback on this monster I've been very curious about it. Either the guy in the videos is holding it really loosely in his hands and is over reacting to the blowback or this thing has a kick similar to an Escort MP5.

If anyone picks one of these up you gotta post a review, as the blowback strength looks pretty amazing in the demo videos so I'm darn excited to see if it actually kicks that hard in reality!

I don't think he's holding it loosely.. looks honestly rather strong to me.. $225 from Dentrinity (is that HK?).. if its HK then maybe add around $60 most to it... you still get around $300 USD...??? Really?! did I do that correctly cause that is a VERY awesome deal...

Dentrinity prices are US $s. I think that is a pretty decent price. I wish I was more into MP40s. Plus a full auto 8mm is going to get expensive in terms of BBs.

I thought LD2 was for their 6mm guns to get around Marui's patents on the hop-up system? Is it still on their 8mm too?

Should remember since they are a Japanese company they are going to show it using 134A. I bet it can take green gas, and should be pretty amazing on green. Still hating the LD-2.

Almost... looks like the bolt stays a bit back (an inch or so), and does drop forward during the shot first, afterwards flying back.

Still lame. Not what I expected.

The LD-2 system is where they have a normal-ish styled hop-up at the breech of the barrel. So far, so good.

Then, Mr Marushin decided to light up a really funky blunt and went: "Hang on lads, let's add another hop-up halfway down the barrel! THAT'S AN AWESOME IDEA!"

Except it isn't. It (as anyone with even a basic understanding of physics and kinematics would tell you) complicates matters and TOTALLY *fruitcage*S YOUR ACCURACY TO HELL.

Remember kids, if you want to design good airsoft guns, don't do drugs.

Son of a *badgeress*. It's the Maruzen MP5K again. Except it's flipped around this time.
I was really excited about this gun too.... enough that I was willing to overlook the fact that it's 8mm.

Dudes and dudets... please realize that almost every gas powered airsoft SMG that has come before this fired from a bolt system opposite of that of the real steel. The KSC & KWA M11s fire from an open bolt where the real ones fire from a closed bolt, as does the Maruzen MP5K, KWC Mini UZI, Western Arms Mini UZI, and I think (although I can't confirm this) that the KSC TMP fires from a bolt setting opposite that of the real steel as well.

But this has never stopped anyone I know of from buying any of the above SMGs and it never stopped them from being a heck of a lotta fun to shoot. It's just a minor detail, that while annoying to some of the milsimers out there, wouldn't make the gun any less fun to shoot.

So honestly, I don't see why people are freaking out about it firing from a closed bolt. People lived with bolt settings opposite the real steel for every other airsoft SMG, they can live with it for this one too
