Hello all,
I saw at the STAR website that they have released a new version of the M14 SOPMOD and several M14 EBR variants along with the standalone EGLM and some other new toys.

All the new additions are shown on the main page ranging from the M14 SOPMOD to a Scar EGLM Stand Alone.
Looks pretty interesting!

New additions look pretty tasty, especially liking the look of my M14 EBR Solid Stock...looks like more money will be coming out of my account in the near future! Haha.

I'm not a big fan of the standard EBR stock, but this new solid stock variant offering from STAR looks like it came straight off of grandpa's shotgun... Ugly.

I think it looks pretty nice to be honest, but then again, it's all down to personal preference..wouldn't be good if we all loved the same thing now would it!

I must say, I don't like the folding stock varient however, there's just something that doesn't click with me when looking at it.

Couldn't agree with you more on both points. Honestly, even being a very proud higher-end EBR owner (that is to say, it's not ACM and cost me way too much money), I hate every single stock I've ever seen on an EBR. I have the cheek rest version, and although it doesn't bother me when I play with it, it just looks horrible. And talk about front heavy. I wish I could find something that would look decent on it, but nothing ever comes to mind. The quest continues.

That solid stock looks nice but I can't abide by the looks of the retractable stock version.

The full stock looks much more balanced the the sliding whatever stock.

I am still not sure about STAR M14s though. Any info on them?

are these out yet? if not, this is way old news. but if they are out, that is different
star made the sopmod a long time ago, and it was the best aeg ive ever owned. after a tragic mishap, i vowed to get another... and once these are out, i will buy that sopmod

I don't think they're out just yet..haven't seen a release date anywhere...and they're not on the likes of Redwolf from what I can see...

Is it just me or does the bolt look fixed like the old sopmods.

it is. the old ones used unique parts, and the bolt was fixed
the new one is supposed to use a TM similar design, so i assume moving bolt

Wouldn't it be awkward to shoot the Stand Alone EGLM with the trigger all the way down there?

Not really depends if you just pull the ring rather than have a seperate trigger all the way down there but i have big hands so shouldnt be a problem found a nice vid check Star ELGM testing

NO
that was mostly only the M249s i believe. the m14s are metal
