It looks interesting but as a few people have said I'd need more info before I believe the 60m range claim.
I would be interested in putting one in my M249 to give that some extra harassing range if it turns out that you sacrifice accuracy for range as the vid seems to suggest and if people find they get accuracy too then I'd probably stick one in my nbb socom as well.

R hop does not involve any accuracy sacrifices.

R-hop, if anything, should be increasing the accuracy due to long contact patch.

You can see that the grouping improved drastically when he tested the AEG which should have longer barrel(and perhaps also higher quality).

So...if this one fails, go for a real R-hop?

Even improving accuracy in the AEG, shots were like a shotgun, maybe if used in high RPS guns this mod can be useful, but here in spain we dont use burst except 3rds ones or short burst in support guns so i dont think it is really useful unless accuracy can be improved with the use of good BBs and a tightbore...

I wonde wichi kind of nub it uses...

That video is a bit suspect - they make no mention of FPS, even though they have a chrono sitting there, and the AEG is a PTW, which could be running at 450fps for all we know. Additionally, the hop-up on the stock G18 is set low, and the hop-up on the REAPS G18 is obviously set high (As is the PTW).

Hell, my G3a3 can hit man-sized targets at 60m already, and it's running 370fps with 0.2gs with an H nub and a Promy purple rubber coupled to a 6.05mm promy barrel. Nothing special at all.

Also, I've heard from HK that the GBB rubbers are tighter around the nozzle, giving a 10-20fps jump without any other mods, which would increase range slightly.

This thing is not an R or a Flat hop. Basically, it's a hop rubber with an lengthened nub on the inside of it. A flat hop does not have a nub of rubber on the inside of it. An R hop uses a semicircular section of rubber that sits flush within a massively extended cutout in the barrel. The basic idea behind this hop-up rubber is the same (extended contact time between the BB and the rubber to produce a more consistent Hop-up effect), but that's where the similarity ends.

As to those who've mentioned using one in conjunction with a tightbore barrel, dont be at all surprised if you're accuracy actually decreases. Those who've seriously messed around with Airsoft sniping will tell you that the accuracy of a 6.0 or 6.01 is inferior to larger diameter inner barrels.

I lolled at the badly made range scam video initially, but i'm in awe that it took 32 posts before anyone noticed the blindingly obvious.

I think it is a flat hop, if the flat hop has no "bump" its because the one provided by the bucking is not optimal, and thus, removed, so this rubber gives the user an "optimal" surface, although I would have preferred them to make custom barrels with a bigger window and an appropiate nub to apply even presure in the whole surface, that way the performance would have been better IMHO

The A+ Devil/REAPS Hop-up rubber doesnt look that flat to me. It's basically an extended U shaped nub on the inside of the rubber. As a drop-in replacement for those who don't want to do anything too taxing, it's going to be a peach, but I doubt it will be as effective as a proper flat hop or R hop system.

I don't like it, too much soft deformable rubber to get compressed differently on every shot. I'd like to see a company produce a complete barrel with R-Hop style contact patch and quality bucking for air seal, pre-installed and fitted precisely, and yeah 60m is really not much to be bragging about my TM on a stock spring with ORGA and Flat-Hop can send a .3g straight out to around 200ft with minute of man accuracy.

Jal, you'd be better just being quiet.

We are all aware that it's a PROMOTIONAL video, I.e. showing the product in the best possible light to try and make it seem more awesome than it is, however, only if people actually test it will we see if it proffers any performance upgrade above a standard barrel/hop set.

Now the pics on WGC have confirmed what it actually is... It seems that it's a double point extended contact hop rubber. Even if it's not a miracle, that's not at all a bad idea for a product surely?

Sounds like a perfect description of it to me! As a drop in replacement, it's a good idea. R-hops and flat-hops can be right finicky sods to get working perfectly (though, to be fair, the flat-hop is easier than the R).

Since im too lazy to fit my M1911's with R-hops, this does seem a nice way to get some performance. Now if only the damn CO2 mags worked.
