For everyone who thinks this is "ripping off my idea"... I always worked strictly with bb conforming concavity.

Some people think he invented the idea of using a concave profile for a hop nub? Tanaka and Marushin have been making theirs in that manner for almost a decade now.

In all honesty I couldn't care who/what it copies or what assumptions people make based on a marketing video. I plan to get one for AEG and try it out in comparison with a guarder clear rubber and then post a review with max distance and usable distance figures. I can't wait to see a third party review, or post my own, at least then we can have some data rather than assumption.

Just my 2p

I got one just installed and IMHO this is gonna be the apple ipod of the airsoft upgrade scene .
Im sure the R-hop is going to be so much better in terms of contact area and customized hancrafted quality
but
for a near drop in part with next to zero DIY experience or tools , its just near dumb proof...
factor in the barrier of expensive gunsmithing / time needed / limited area service of DIY hops
...this thing is going to reach out to masses imho...

PS. accuracy of the AEG is nearly another matter altogether imho

I find this kind of funny because HS5 is selling(last time I check, which was a few weeks ago) a pack of R-hop contact patches that is almost sure to have one compatible for any barrel.

which don't you need to "remove" the hop bump from the rubber to be able to use? For those people that are not comfortable about taking a knife to a hop rubber knowing that they may just write off the rubber if they screw up this is a better alternative if it works. Will still give these a go but they have a way to go to be better than the Falcon rubbers i've been using for the last 12 months or so.

It's a hop rubber, that any moron can fit in their gun, that will probably be better than a stock one. I don't see why everyone is so passionately hating on it/doubting it - Sure, it's probably not as effective as a properly tuned, hand crafted R hop or Flat hop setup, but it's using the basic idea of a bigger contact patch and a contoured surface to create something that likely slings a BB slightly further without the required engineering skills. Seems like a good idea to me...

Nah, i prefer up close, jump around the corner, shout an insult and in the confusion hit them out. However if i am bored i find the most experienced player or the one laden with kit and just pick them out of the group from about 50m away, leaving the rest to run around like idiots with no experience among them :P
