The bolt actually looks pretty good. I'm not particularly knowledgeable on AR15 styled GBBRs but with a metal nozzle can they devise a bolt lock that works like the real steel one (like the upcoming RS AR15)? That would solve a multitude of problems with the bolt, which seems like the major problem with the GBBR AR15s right now
From what I remember the behind the bolt carrier isn't particularly stiff, even with a plastic nozzle as long as the rails that guide the nozzle (bolt) is strong enough it should withstand the moment tilting the bolt (upwards at the end, downwards at the front) without damage.

Sorry, I'm just really really excited!
7.62 mags are gonna have a huge gas tank, which is great news for the UK, and hopefully means I won't need to wear a coat over my mags in winter.
As for the bolt, I don't really have any problems with mine... Locks every time and has done for 12,000 rounds now... I don't know if I'm just lucky or whatever, but I've never suffered any of the apparent issues with the WA platform.
Still - I want me a 7.62 GBBR!

Very interesting, I'd love a 7.62 DMR, my G&P WOC is a tackdriver already, so a nice aesthetic to go with would be awesome.

Sweet. Would definitely have to rock that with a 14.5" barrel, red-dot and an AFG.
Bit concerned about the trades though, really not a fan of Viper's and I have to admit if the first AR-10 variant GBBr to be released after all this time ended up just screaming "airsoft!!!" at me I'd be rather sad.

if you buy from TW retailers your viper will have full correct trademarks. They can only use real trademarks inside of TW apparently.

there are too many simple 1 minute mods that make your magazine lock back 100% of the time, some as simple as gluing material on the underside of your bolt catch.
theres bigger issues with the WA system at the moment lol.

I haven't even needed to mod anything on mine... Bolt lock just works.
Essentially, in my experience, it seems that buying a G&P WOC with steel guts, adding a bit of a lighter spring to the hop system and putting G&P Pmags in it gives you an ubergun that destroys all that comes before it... I probably am just lucky.
Biggest issues I've come across myself seem to be; Price of mags, compatibility of mags, and finding mags that don't suck. Let's hope Viper do a good job of the 7.62 mag.

I have a WE SCAR and the bolt lock problem for me isn't getting the bolt to lock back, it's getting the bolt not to return to battery if I viciously slam a new mag into the gun
The metal on metal contact between the bolt and the catch isn't exactly nice and stable, hence I would think it would occur with the WA guns too given that the bolt lock mech is essentially the same.That reminds me, I should get some sandpaper and superglue some on the sides that the bolt lock and bolt catch onto each other...that might work
