Sent KJW an email regarding various stuff and asked if they were developing any more of their models as CO2 versions. Apparantly they are developing the KP-01 (226) and KP-02 (229) as CO2 versions, which is nice :D
I love having CO2 alternatives avaliable.

Just a short FYI, got no dates or antyhing but it is in the works at least.

Also as a side note they do have CO2 magazines avaliable for the KC-02 but retailers appear to not stock them, so if you want them e-mail your favorite retailers and ask them to stock them.

I also asked regarding the finish of their pistols and from what I understand all new KJW produced pistols have the new matte black finish that the KP-05 (Hi Capa) and KP-07 (MEU) use. So that is nice as well

Over and out.

Do want CO2 P229!!

Always fancied Sig's, but the only viable CO2 option has been KWC...

Are kjw gonna improve the quality of the o-rings in there co2 mags, refitting the current mags is a pain in the *albatross*. But a kc02 with co2 would be a great scout rifle.

Forgot to ask that, I might send off another question regarding their thought process with the orings in their co2 mags because they really are horrible.

I just had to read this after I bought another KJW P229... Make my day, tell me it's the 1998 non-rail version of the P229
Providing their CO2 SIGs are reliable, I can easily see myself buying them.

Until KJW comes up a solution to fix all six of my m1911 co2 mags they sertainly wont get any love around here.
The whole concept is just doomed from the start, NAILON o-ring with sharpened edge doing the sealing...

If KJW does this to the sig mags i feel sorry for the owners. If they sont and leave the colt mags borked, i truely hate them.

Well if you are aware of that issue there is an easy fix, buy a bulk pack of replacement o-rings...
I did just that for my KJW MEU, Hi Capa and M9. Get these;

CO2 valve inner o-ring
Cross Section: 1.00mm
Inner Diameter: 6.00mm
Outer Diameter 8.00mm
Material: Nitrile or Viton
Status: Verified

CO2 outer inner o-ring
Cross Section: 1.00mm
Inner Diameter: 7.00mm
Outer Diameter 9.00mm
Material: Nitrile or Viton
Status: Verified

CO2 puncture cap o-ring (KP-07 / MEU / 1911 only)
Cross Section: 1.00mm
Inner Diameter: 9.00mm
Outer Diameter 11.00mm
Material: Nitrile or Viton
Status: Verified

I guess the 1911 has the same o-rings as these so.

Source for o-rings; http://simplybearings.co.uk/shop/index.php?cPath=19_4501

Lots in stock, cheap for bulk packs and delivery within 3 days.

None of those are the problem ones, the problem is the WHITE plastic/nailon seal
Writing off my phone atm. More info on my issue in asm:

http://forums.airsoftmechanics.com/index.php?topic=5132.0

Basicly the nailon seal WEARS OUT after 2-5 capsules. Typical o-rings all seem to hold gas/co2 no problem. The white one cannot be changed into rubber, it needs to be quite hard, nailon is too hard for it tho.

OK I see what you mean. You could do the "flame to the screw" trick to reshape it. Do you know about that ?

I'm yet to do that successfully, but I haven't tried very hard. I've read that rotating the screw repetitively to "mold" the nylon seating also works, and it's less risky.

In any case that whole valve is a dreadful design.

Interesting that there is no aftermarket valve to replace since there has been so much problem with these. I'd be happy to pay 20 dollars per valve to get non leaking magazines for my favorite pistol...

Molding, burning, melting, etc can merely buy some time, or a busted seal.

I have been working on a new design, needs a bit of work but doable if you know how to screw off and pull the valve apart... Sadly i dont have the right mats at hand atm but i will gladly share my design once i get to try it out first.

More contact surface to seal, should enable usage of BIT softer material.

What's the diameter of the nylon seat? I can't be that hard to make new ones out of hard rubber bars: Cut the right height, dremel the hole, bevel the side for the screw.
