What's the diameter of the nylon seat? I can't be that hard to make new ones out of hard rubber bars: Cut the right height, dremel the hole, bevel the side for the screw.

5mm wide
3mm inner hole
3 tall
Estimates, dont have one on hand atm.

I considor myself rather good at making small bits like these, sadly, it will not work...
Anything made out of "softer" material effects how the gun/valve works. The WHOLE co2 pressure presses down on that small seal. When the hammer hits, it only opens up VERY little. Any softer material simply will not open the valve as the material soaks up all the force of the hammer.

Only way i see to make it somewhat usable without having to mod the gun is to make it work a bit like WE valve works. Wider area of contact and sealing. Sadly this needs quite a lot of work to the valve itself and WE parts will not fit, so all must be built by hand.
Sadly WE doesnt seem to make single-stack mags. The one im hoping to copy/convert to is a large mag.

...And im not even 100% sertain if it will work at all.

Ah. I see. That is a shame. I was thinking of picking up one of their CO2 1911s.

Ok. What about filing about 1.5mm height then glue a softer seat?

Had a look of using derlin rod to replace it ? - I'd drop Docv400 a mail see if he could help out with this.

Tried, wont work, kinda hard to make too as the surface is not straight.

"Derlin rod" ? What exactly is that? And whos this Docv400?

POM, of which Delrin is DuPont's homopolymer, is a stable, dense and stiff low-friction thermoplastic. Docv400 is one of a couple of machinists who frequent this board and who take custom orders.

Ive made myself few actually working seals. Materials i've tried are different soft'ish plastics that last no more then one capsule.
Nailon based tubing that lasts about 2-4 capsules before starting to leak.
Pom hydraulic tube/hose that seems to last similar amounts as the nailon.

Simply put: it wont work long. The whole concept is flawed.

Co2 isnt very "clean" gas and lower quality ones eat the seal faster. Even quality Gamo co2 will make small tears in the seal and then they start to leak.

Im stuck at work for a few days but after that, i'l see if i can make my own version of the valve using ideas taken from WE valve. Till then im open for any ideas.

What about contacting KJW directly and try to order a few spare seals?

They do. I just purchased a whole bunch of spare parts for my new KJW CO2 pistols, including complete valve assemblies.

Also the last 2 emails I sent to KJW with general inquiries have been answereded correctly and politely.

Query r.e. KJW pistols in general to those who've got experience with the brand (I have none): I believe the 1911 mags are TM compatible, that correct? If so, do they produce any modern era replicas people would recommend? Mainly for backgarden-range practice, I'd prefer to save my actual TMs (particularly the metal kits) for 'proper' use and have something a bit cheaper to run drills with.

KJW's are TM compatible...but their slides are meaty, so running them off of green gas on the 1911A1 style mag is not going to be fun...I got 5 shots out of mine :D

Yet that same magazine gives 35+ in the TM Foliage Warrior...s'the problem with Co2 ready guns

I was looking at the non-CO2 models to be honest, no idea what the differences are between them, bar the obvious (type of mag supplied and the width/shaping of the frame).

CKinnerley I'm running the KJW 1911 MEU, and its fantastic!! But she is a gas hog even at 25c+ I'm struggling to get a full mags worth off bbs' so you might have to keep it real 7+1 back in the UK. I hear there p226/9 is pretty good if you want something a bit more modern. Though everything I have tried feels spongy and delayed compared to the 1911 MEU.

Gonna get a Stark arms Glock 18 next or a HK px4, they are getting some good reviews.
