Out today at Toysoldier and EBB. Real deal: http://www.sandsprecision.com/weapon-link/

I was interested in one of these once, but it was unobtainable so I made do with a bit of webbing and an HK clip (which is kinda more versatile and takes up less belt space).

Looks like China is intent on replicating the entire S&S catalog. never really thought it would happen, but now I'm kinda hoping for clones of their M320 accessories.

About time! Normally I'm a proponent for buying from the original manufacturer when at all feasible, but in this case I found it hard to justify spending S&S's RRP for something that I suspect could be sold for much less and still make them a profit (speculative argument over recouping r&d costs aside).

... sticking with KJW hicapas because of Koba is like buying a marui M9 springer because of the vsr hop up.

I've actually thought about making my own since the premise is so simple and S&S is really expensive here; might get this and see how useful it is.

Oh no, my gun won't work and I don't know why. Everything is exactly how it should be. Oh, I did break it though, do you think that could be part of the reason why it doesn't work?

Is that...something so you can "belt holster" your primary?!

Wow.

It's basically a fancy weapon catch, meant to be used in conjunction with a sling.

OOO I want one too XD I've been playing around this idea ever since I got into airsoft and was planning to get the Pantac weapon-catch before; never realised that S&S had something like this :D

Also, from EBB's link the OP provided above....I saw this:

W
as wondering whether the boobies come with it too....

I don't even have to look over on soldier-systems to feel the searing heat of all the range commandos frying their little brains over this.

Not sure if I like the design versus a more traditional belt catch, seems like it's much more of a fine motor action to clip in and release that metal spigot vs just jamming your handguard in to a big cordura/plastic hook. Handy for unconventionally sized rail systems of course because you can just use it with any type of RIS-enabled weapon, it just looks a bit too fiddly for my liking.

looks like the system can mount on any standard mount for kydex holsters. so, if you were so inclind to attach it to molly you could pick up an adapter for a serpa holster at the same time and have at it.

The TM man said "One day child you will look and see that the sun has risen and with it came the dawning of the TM M&P and HK45 and life will be good"

Attendant "But KSC and WE have already given us these things"

TM man slowly turns looks the attendant in the eyes and slowly but quite surely pulls the man's still beating heart out of his chest ... "we do not speak of the yapping noise that the little dog companies make"

Legit that is what was said / happened.

Very interesting system. My concerns are that it would scratch up RIS to hell, get caught on things wild navigating through bushes and the like, and that, being a cheap Chinese good, would snap while supporting the weight of an rifle. Still, at $25 its cheap enough to justify checking out, I'd say.

a well used gun is ALWAYS scratched to hell ;)

and that, being a cheap Chinese good, would snap while supporting the weight of an rifle.

This. +5

Like most cheapo chinese slings, is it simply going to snap off the moment any weight is put on it? It's a mighty small part to be taking a lot of weight, I'm sure S&S use some OTT expensive material, but I'd rather it was too tough, than, what may end up as a cheap pot-metal part that simply snaps clean off when you sling a rifle.

I suppose it depends how high you mount it, but is it really going to be taking that much weight? Surely you set it up at the weapons lowest point so it just slots in and pulls it into your body rather than the weight of the gun sitting on it?

Well it's not exactly a cheap piece of equipment either compared with other cloned accessories; and unless you're planning to waist-mount a M240 I think it'll be fine even if your gun's knocked about a few times against walls and trees when it's mounted. But before anyone gets one of these it's all speculation :P I'll see if I can get one after my exams for review here unless someone else beats me to it :P

I'm kind of unhappy that they made 2 colours for the mount. From S&S's own website it seems the bracket belt clip is black and the mount mechanism is tan; a quick look through Google also shows the same thing; there's no other variations.

I think that's actually an improvement on what is quite likely merely a cost saving decision on S&S's part (which makes me rather surprised the replica manufacturer didn't take the same route...), at least now people who want black get black, and likewise for the tan version : )

I don't think these have been spotted in the wild in any MIL photos, so the whole geardo 100% authenticity argument may be a little shaky ^^

I lol at that.

I'm a geardo, but I wouldn't ignore or disregard a new and useful piece of kit just because SEALZ haven't been seen using it.

Anyhow slight derailment aside. I'll be ordering one in black, this will be used to mount my M3 shortie. I can't wait to give it a go and will pop up a mini review unless someone beats me to it.

True, the colour's are already set for those who want tan or black but I still want a replica that has colours true to the real stuff :P And yes, I know paint does wonders but it's just not the same if I have to paint the tan belt lock thingy black myself :P

Also, it COULD be S&S's part on saving costs to make the belt clip black but from what I remember black plastic in general is stronger than tan ones. Forgot where I read it but it was something about the chemistry with turning the plastic to another colour other than black. I'm no expert on this but if anyone can confirm and/or clarify that'll be great :P
