This just looks like an LPEG to me, albeit an expensive one. It would be great if it were TM compatible as a source for spare parts for us TM owners but I doubt it is.

I'm shameless, so I would use a battery sling with this if possible. I wonder if it would be possible to upgrade it to ~300 FPS and put a new bucking and barrel in it. I'm anxiously awaiting any information about compatibility!

Hey, people shove lipos into G18C/MP7 AEP's lol, they exist. They're just those very small helicopter lipos, though I'm sure you could mod out more space in the UZI for a better lipo.

I've run my Tokyo Marui G18C on an 11.1v 20c before and it just keeps chugging along (probably because the gearbox is such a low-stress setup). I'd love to pick up one of these, slap in a flat hop, and run around in the woods. I have a feeling it would be surprisingly effective.

Even if they've left it with a stock MP7/Skorp style setup (which does about 240ish fps with a tiny barrel) it should be easy enough to boost up to 300, mayhaps even 350. A 6.01mm tightbore would do the trick.

This intrigues me. Two things I'm concerned about, first off, is the stock plastic or metal? Second, will there be low or mid caps available? I guess we just need someone to buy one and do a review on it to find out all this stuff.

Judging by the weight, that stock looks to be made of plastic. Also the mags don't look compatible with TM.

In addition, looking at the rear of the stock there's a join line so I'd think almost certainly plastic. Marui mags don't taper do they so I'd think you're correct on that score too. It'll be interesting to see how much it's going for at somewhere like rsov, they sell the WELL skorpion and MP7 for a good $20 less than UN co. If it does come in at around $50 then it's a viable project gun, much more and I'd seriously question why I was spending so much on what is likely to be a mostly plastic AEP. Could always make a wooden stock....

Back in September when i first reported of this Uzi, general atmosphere was that everyone was hating it so quickly the mood changes haha, now seems more people like it than hate it

I remember that, the picture they released did look kind of shopped which I don't think helped with people's perception of it. It looks like it's turned out nicer though, anymore details on it and when it's likely to hit other retailers, UN co aren't terribly well suited to ordering from the UK.

I think it's because most people have a general negative view on WELL, considering how cheap most of their stuff has been.

My bet is its a reworked MP7 AEP. In which case, maybe they should have just cloned the TM Mac-10.

It still does look pretty *fruitcage* terrible though - there's not a single square inch on the entire gun that doesn't look like there's something wrong with it.

Uziel Gal would be turning in his grave, the actual UZI SMG was a weapon of such majestic beauty, this thing is an abomination.

Well, that was a bit extreme, I think while it may not be perfect, its good to see new and different offerings from affordable brands instead of the bazillions of "perfect" M4s and Aks or other less obscure guns...

Uzis are not my cup of tea, but I hope they sell enough to make them think about releasing other AEPs
