My first guess was universal barrels with interchangable installations adapter end. Ie you could plug in different end-sockets and mount in various hop housings... I dunno.

I'm guessing it's for AEG's as first line says electric power use, can't make sense of the second or third line.

Another attempt at commercialising an improved R/Flat style hop system is the sensible money I reckon. Why pixellate the end of the barrel if it isn't something that could be copied from the picture?

Outer riffling? maybe the made some outer grooves to install a couple of orings for stabilization... but it looks like the window is quite bigger than a regular one, so a barrel/bucking/nub combo is most likely...

R/flat hop end section possibly with a 6.01chamber section leading out to a 6.03 barrel?
Could be a variation that only uses patches instead of a full rubber but that would have a sucky seal.

I think hwagan is on the money - a production run barrel cut for a flat or R hop (more inclined to think flat hop than R hop though)

The difference in colour might denote a difference in material? Perhaps a rubber hop window? That could create a better seal and apply more hop or something similar?
Can't see why they would make it 2 tone just for a larger hop window for an Rhop or similar?

My wife is Japanese and she didn't even know what the last line means
The name of the file and the term Ryusoku is used, which means flow speed (as mentioned above).
