New so called AEG WA2000 later version about to release.

It's been announced in Platoon convention 2012 held in Seoul.

It's full CNC aluminium made and has ver.3 mechabox in it.

Overall length is about 1m(real one is 905mm), and far thicker than real one(about 10mm) because of mechabox.

And has laminated wood stock(like AK!) as standard.

It cost about 1700usd in here and only 100 going to build.

ARES/ASAHI accessories are not compatible with this one as dimension is massively different from real one.

*grumbles at price but knows it was inevitable*...But for a $2k AEG, there must be some high level enchantments in the mech box on top of the special bbs included to hunt mages...

No. it has conventional ver.3 mechabox, nothing special.

Price + bad externals = fail.

Failure of expensive oversized toy WA2000; want to copy laminated wood of Kalashnikov rifles? I think not.

Might as well buy one of those asahi(?) WA2000.

SVD is far more economical.

Why pay $1700 for a gun that's way off spec, with no notable feature other than it has a standard mechbox, which means it's capable of FA which is all a bit silly.

There's no way around the thickness issue if they're dead set in using a standard gearbox. But if a Chinese manufacturer gets a hold of this, makes them by the thousands and removes a zero off the price tag, I'm sure plenty of people won't even notice that 10mm difference.

Asahi, Ares WA2000's chassis width is 25mm, but this one is 38mm,

Side plate of Ares,Asahi WA2000's thickness is 5mm, but this new one has 3mm plate.

And... upper and lower chassis of this gun made from rectangle bar, not pipe....

I also think it is hopeless....

I have Asahi WA2000. And i think this new one does not deserve WA2000 name.

All metal parts are CNC milled. Fantastic quality but you can't see those beautiful surface. Because it has matt black paint finish.

$1700 for a badly-painted, CNC'd lump that's not really anything and has wood taken from old banana crates...And you get to source the internals yourself?
