Anyway, are these Avalon OEM? The Avalon one is damn sexy. Externally finished very well, has a nice heft and...well, it's just NICE

always wanted a longer version of the can that Avalon came out with earlier!

One of the comments on facebook says: "Little over $100 in Denmark". Not sure how thrustworthy that is, but *fruitcage* that. The VFC/Avalon is absolute perfection, and reasonably priced at about 60$. If these are just rebranded VFC's, then that's a rip-off. I'm getting sick of companies like ASG, Cybergun and Umarex taking things not produced by them and multiplying the price. A few years ago those companies kept to the cheap springer side of airsoft, and that's where they belong. Airsoft is f*cked up these days.

For a second I thought he meant 100 DKK....LOL.
But yes, if things keep going on those nutjobs will run airsoft into the ground.

They already do. With Cyberdicks holding licenses like the FNH one, I doubt you'll be seeing a reputable company putting guns like the FNP 45 any time soon. There's a lot more that I can probably dig up, but it's not looking good already. I'm all for paying for licenses IF THEY MAKE GOOD REPLICAS OF IT, but from what I can tell it seems like the firearms industry still don't give a ###### about airsoft and therefore the licenses sold to companies like Umarex/Cybergun/ASG is just for a quick buck.
Madbull is also jumping in on this with getting licenses from accessory brands..and with their rails being off-spec and doing some ###### imitation of stuff like the SF suppressors they're also making airsoft worst.
Btw, the local price for the Avalon is down to HKD 480 at TokyoModel, so ~USD 61. Highest quality piece of gucci kit I ever spent...stuff like the SF Suppressors that Madbull makes and the KAC suppressor that G&P makes are some HKD 550 compared to the beauty that is the Avalon one

I'm sure there are other, non-visible ways of making sure the airsoft stuff doesn't work on a real steel rifle (as in it can't be mounted at all) but this 6mm bb ###### is very irksome.
Though just to let others know the Avalon one has .223 markings, none of this 6mm ######

1. While the lockup is very good, it's not perfect, but it's still too tight to shim with tape. I've never used the real one, so I'm not sure if that level of wobble is normal. Albeit with the KAC ones that use a similar lock, there is also some wobble so I supposed that's to be expected on the Rotex ones too.
2. The finish on the gray part of the silencer is way too rough, like sandpaper. Not sure if this is an attempt to mimick the original... Rotex suppressors are fairly rare outside the military so I'm not sure if anyone can confirm the specifics of the real suppressor.
But of course, all this is nitpicking, by reasonable airsoft standards, it's an outstanding suppressor

Well, the Avalon one was not without it's faults:

Use a thicker O-Ring.

My issue with the Avalon one is that the flash hider doesn't come with a hole with the grub screw to lock it down in the correct position on the barrel; you really need to shim the flash hider to get it to sit perfectly, or use an o-ring for tension. The lockup is okay from what I remember...yours have excessive wobble? Try turning the can from the locking mech so that it applies more tension onto the flash hider to get it to secure itself by a bit more friction from turning.

I think the trades are pretty close to the real deals except for the caliber-thing of course
They sure look alright to me...
