It appears Umarex will release a PPQ M2 gas gun this year, the gun appears briefly at 03:26 in the Umarex IWA 2013 video.

German website frankonia.de says it will be available for order in one week. According to them the gun will be GBB and have a metal slide.

Not much information in the description, so... who will be the first to test it?

Seems Modify are also jumping on the flat hop craze - Going on how good their VSR rubbers are, possibly a better contender than the Prommy version?

They're looking for testers, but seems fairly promising especially with their little animation explaining the concept... would have to see an accuracy test later which they would probably post.

Just saw this -- what the .... 

M4 style body, with a purpose built upper receiver for use with P90 magazines. Still retains the M4/16 magwell for catching brass - but in the Airsoft version, this is obviously just for show.

Echo 1 is suggesting this is the perfect size for CQB -- but I ask, why not just get a P90? It is actually small -- but the AR57 seems bigger than an M4 CQB-R or equivalent. Just all seems rather backwards.

I'm sure there's some rationale for this particular model, but I'm not really seeing it. At the very least, it is something, er.. different, from the usual AR style rifle... 

Any thoughts?

With the asking price of $943... claiming to be challenging Inokatsu in terms of realism... which confuses me, isn't it generally agreed that when it comes to AK, at least in the external aspect, Real Sword is the most authentic for it using real Norinco parts..? This gun seems to be using normal v3 gearbox, which instantly means the dimension can't be realistic.. the fire selector dimples are shallow like most AEGs, with the texture on some of the close ups looking suspiciously like the work of LCT... does anyone here know more about this BO company?
