PlasticMag
Not quite. It was from an article about different gear manufacturers in SWAT magazine, though that issue was sponsored by Surefire.
master_titled
Close enough.
PlasticMag
Fair enough. It's a decent article but only compares EAGLE, SOE and Tactical Tailor (iirc). No mention of LBT or several other rather reputable manufacturers. If anyone's interested I'll see about scanning it, though I'm not sure it's Force Recon, per se.
GRIM!
Part of my team, we are total 12, 6 FR Marines and 6 Navy Seals. Only 6 on this pic tho Im to the far left
zarda999
1. *fruitcage* sweet team pic. 2. Why do you have a PIP shot in the frame? IMO Pen tool and a light feathering would have been better. -Ryan

Squeezee
Yeah, what did you think we had polarbears and *suitcase*? For a while I actually did . Tell the SEAL people to ditch their kits and go MFR! Then your team will be two times cooler!
Countfloyd
+1 on what Squeezee says xD. pforcerecon
Where can I get a good replica Paca, preferably the King Arms? I've looked on redwolf, ehobbyasia, and a few other places and they seem to be sold out. Is this the one your talking about Countfloyd: First shooter clearly has a SERPA. Also found my inspiration for my setup, and not too mentione...Black Safariland holsters on Tan!..Mmmmm perfecto! Can anyone tell me what belts they're using?
Countfloyd
Thanks man that was the one I was searching for!!! Thanks pforcerecon!! I have been searching for the KA but looks difficult to get it man! this one looks similar: http://ebaybanned.com/product_info.php?products_id=1786 Regards
pforcerecon
Anytime man! Hmmm...heard some interesting things about the Ebaybanned one on another thread somewhere in here..I'll have to either look further into it, or hope someone wants to sell their paca =D.
Fatal
Some are wearing different belts, just pick up any black riggers.
Luis21
@Pforcerecon: Pantac http://www.redwolfairsoft.com/redwolf/airs...il?prodID=22706 Flyye: http://www.flyye.com/ArticleShow.asp?ProdID=0419 I've heard great things about both. You might be able to get the Flyye PACA for a little cheaper by contacting them directly. The King arms PACA is very nice, but I don't think it's worth the hassle. The EBB version is good to, just a little inferior to the KA. -Luis
Countfloyd
Yeah but not the same color as the original one, a friend of mine had it and the color really sucks, at least his model.
pforcerecon
Thanks Luis. Looks like I'll go with the Flyye one, since redwolf is sold out.
shadownova
I think some people have the wrong impression of Force Recon, believing that all operators strictly use what they are issued and nothing else. Anyone in the military will tell you that while a lot of times the issued stuff may be good enough, sometimes a person wants something better. In my unit one of the operators chose to wear a suspender system that was blue and red that he probably bought from a mall store. This guy was a veteran operator and a designated marksman (he had, besides his M4, a customized M14 DMR). Another guy wore a custom made ear-piece and mic for his MBITR (comm guys go fig). A lot of people liked Blackhawk stuff over their FSBE II stuff (pouches, vests) and spent their own money buying that. I myself wore a Blackhawk belt and used PANTAC pouches (held up nicely btw) during deployment. The same gun bag I used for my airsoft rifle I used to transport my M4 into Iraq. No one questioned my choice to do this other than people commenting on my different bag. People have different preferences over everything. Boots, pouch placement, even dump pouches. I didn't like the issued EI dump pouch, so I bought my own rounder and larger mouthed bag. I could show you guys a picture (but I won't) of myself with a PANTAC Khaki Fatboy Versipak doing knock and talks and site exploitation in Iraq. BAM. Now it's on the internet, it's canon. Anyway, I just get a little confused when people start talking about "No you can't wear X because Yst/nd/rd/th Force Recon doesn't wear it in any of their photos!" There is room for a little customization, a little individuality. There is also a big difference between what guys wear in training and what people wear in theater. The training work-up period is where guys find out what works and what doesn't and, sometimes, what they have to purchase for themselves.
pforcerecon
Just reading that alone Shadownova made me feel better to just go with what works, and then work from there and improve any work that would need be. Thanks for that, and your right too! I've seen a few pics and have heard a few stories from 2 buddies I have, one Marines and one Navy, who tell me they see this setup and that setup from the SEAL and FR community with guys that don't have the "normal" issued gear, or with gear they bought themselves. I guess a few people might be more traditional and old school, and would like to see what should be, rather than what could be, so to speak. Damn't! Triple post =(
GRIM!
Painted the stock and pistol grip to look more "FR style"
crackisbad
good loking rifle you got there! Threw everything on for a photo. This is where I am starting from, it's not complete yet. Forgive the gear being so bright and shiney, I haven't had a chance to field it since I got it New photos with Tacticool custom eye bars!! Still need to get: MICH IFAK To re-adjust to pouches once I've played in it with what works and doesn't Please excuse the lack of a rifle, it is currently in pieces as I am attempting to find two front sight pins for it to finish it (hint, hint, anyone? ). To stand in place of my M4, I took a picture with a new and improved air rifle: *Pew! Pew!* Kit hasn't really changed: USMC Watch Cap (threw it on because hair was unruly. Will be replaced with MICH eventually) Bowman headset FLYYE CIRAS & MAP with Pantac Integrated One Point Sling Tan Flight Suit Mechanix gloves with tacticool custom nose picking mod Surplus Belt -Condor Dump Pouch -Gamtech(?) Lanyard -SERPA ALTA Knee Pad Tan Desert Boots <-- Need to be replaced Eventually, I also plan on getting one of those TS working replica MBITRs to fill the pouch better than my little motocrapolla BTW, I freaking love that SERPA. I used to own a real SL but I like this way more. I was planning on getting a SL for my MEU, but now I will probably just get another SERPA holster for it and use this platform with it when I want to use it.
