Any 12 inch RAS will fit on that gun as it has a rifle length gas system, but not anything else. smile.gif

No, the G&P RAS is a mid-length--9 or 10 inches long.

Yup.

In fact I'd be willing to bet they are exactly the same length, give or take a few millimeters.

I have two of those G&P mid-lengths--I'll measure them tonight and see for sure.

Well atleast this is a replica of a decent one, as it replicates a Daniel Defense RAS.

Sweet, Maybe now my Noveske build will be able to be as accurate as possible. So I could mount the 10" on my m4 with out any problems? But, then I couldn't switdh back to an accurate Sopmod M4. And thats not cool.

mrk, watch your back dude, Chris Costa's beard is going to come and get you, I imagine in a similar way that Chuck Norris' might, and when it's done with you, Matt Johnson is going to make you a 750D Cordura bodybag (it's innovatively better than 500D and 1000D, naturally), in a khaki colour that's not quite green, not quite tan, not quite khaki. With grey trim, of course.

Yet LaRue, DD, Samson, and Troy's rail systems all look the same, my bad thought it was a DD. And Crunchy Bunny, you need to buy a LaRue rail for that, got almost $400? flamed.gif

I could've sworn I saw Troy trades on it a while back. KA makes a Troy CQB-SPC replica silencer, and TD replica grips and panels (used on the Troy CQB-SPC) so I'd assume as much.

IIRC, Samson copied Troy's design and were sued for it, or something to that effect. The only other similar looking free float rail system I can recall is the Midwest Industries MCTAR, which lacks the anti-rotational tabs found on the Troy and has a few other dissimilarities, but is reasonably close.

Well this is close enough. It doesn't have to be right on

It is indeed a Samson MRF-C. From airsoft-news.eu:

QUOTE
This is a replica of the Samson MRFS. It's simple and effective mounting system (very similar to the system used by Troy) has been very favorably received in the real-steel community.

They will also be releasing a 12 inch version, as well as versions that have a slot for a traditional, non-flip front sight.

Just check out the MM link I posted above. Also, I took some of my Troy SPC CQB Project a while back.

The main reasons I like the Troy MRFs are because of the continuous upper rail it provides as well as its rock solid build and tight tolerances. At first, I was a little bummed to find that KA was releasing a Troy replica shortly after I had purchased a real one. But after seeing the prices, I don't think KA's offering is all that appealing, at least to those in the US. A real Troy MRF-C costs about the same as the KA 7" after shipping. The Troy needs a few minor mods to fit but it's well worth the effort IMO. Still, it's a nice option to have for those overseas or unwilling to mod. The longer one gives me an excuse to build a big brother...

Yeah, the price is underwhelming. I would have expected it to include the outer barrel, flash hider and front sight for that price.
