Looks like Marushin has heard some of the feedback and are now releasing a followup to their M2 Carbine without the full-auto.

Sanken M1 Carbine Order

This will bring a true semi-auto, magazine fed GBB rifle to the battlefield. Based on the graphic on the order it looks like they expect a surplus of M2 magazines, but I would expect new M1 mags to be available with this release or shortly thereafter.

With this and the MP40 upcoming release, Marushin is trying to get all my money tongue.gif

so its an m1 carbine with an m2 mag?

why not just buy the m2 and keep it on semi then? tongue.gif

unless of course they do come out with m1 style mags later on, but then they should also fit the m2, right?

Better yet, 6mm. I have the Garand, and it's not really practical, and I am not rich enough for the Smokey's version.

Im with sirrith on this one. Why wouldnt you just buy the M2 and maybe later purchase 15 round mags if they become available. Sure the full-auto isn't 100% accurate for a WWII loadout but it is excellent for those cheaters who refuse to call hits. Honestly, I feel that marushin should work on developing a metal M3A1 or possibly even a Thompson (Blowback M1A1 = awesome) of some sort. I for one like the idea of 8mm BBs as they are closer to the caliber of ammunition used in some guns and as long as you use your ammo wisely, price isn't a real big issue either.

EDIT: I did just notice that the M1 Carbine runs around 2,000 Yen cheaper than the M2 carbine so it just depends on if the full-auto is worth the extra cash to you.

oooh, that cool. I've always wanted one. I just wish it was 6mm.

Oh no, the cat's out of the bag now, the national security of every country in the Western world has been compromised because we all now know exactly what super secret armour carrier is used by a civilian shooting instructor who works for a company which founded itself as an alternative to paracord and duct tape.

mrk, watch your back dude, Chris Costa's beard is going to come and get you, I imagine in a similar way that Chuck Norris' might, and when it's done with you, Matt Johnson is going to make you a 750D Cordura bodybag (it's innovatively better than 500D and 1000D, naturally), in a khaki colour that's not quite green, not quite tan, not quite khaki. With grey trim, of course.

Even though I hate 8mm bb's, an 8mm Thompson GBB would make sense to me.

Yeah me neither. I think ill probably just buy the M2 since it is very close to the M1 carbine in almost every respect. I want a GBB M1A1 Thompson soo bad!
