Along with my SRC G36 I got this little catalog, leaflet thingy that lists some of their upcoming G36s and XM8s.

for the XM8s
-XR8 compact (XM8 Compact with the usual stock)
-XR8 compact ver2 (Compact with a telescoping stock)
-XR8 DMAR (Support gun version)

G36s
-SR36 KSK (G36k with RIS)
-SR36 K (G36k)
-SR36 MG (MG36)
-SR36c (G36c)
-SR36 KV (G36 KV)

My scanner is funky so heres some pics from my camera. They may be a bit fuzzy but they're visable.

I've sent an email to stti for a little more info.

I call dibs on the XM8 DMR!

Do you think you could get barrel lengths at all? I was thinking about a DMR and was originally going to do a M15A4 rifle. This would be much cooler though.

Do you know how the SRC V3's would handle M120 or even a M130 and are there any unique parts I should be extremely cautious of internally?

PCAP system? What are you talking about, and it would be difficult to make a bolt catch system due to its placement at the near bottom of the gearbox.

My support gun fetish calls out.

And the compact (sliding stock) version looks absalutly epic win.

Yes, a investment is due I think.

Shiiiiit I gotta have that XM8 Type 2 carbine. Ill agree the PCAP system looks ugly on their XR8, but fill it in with some black paint or something and it'll look fine and dandy.

The PCAP system are those hole things on the handguard - accessories were supposed to have knobs that fit into the holes - eliminates need for readjustment of sights like what happens on rails and stuff.

Maybe not the bolt catch that snaps the charging handle back into place but a bolt catch that holds the ejection port door open to adjust hopup would be nice...but I guess I can dream...

Dunno about the gearbox, im not really much up on the tech side of airsoft. But from what I see I'd say you could do as much as you could with a CA.

SRC pistons are total JUNK. other than that the XM8 should upgrade rather well, especialy since it has metal gears. The ones I have sold are chonoing in at around 330-350fps with .2g Omega BB's

Thank you both. Really helpful info. wink.gif And since you're chronoing the guns at 350fps, I think I might just go ahead and upgrade compression and durability before starting on the spring.

Just one question Rapier, did you mean steel when you said metal or are the XM8 gears the same SRC used in their M4 series? Heck, it doesn't matter, I can buy some CA stock CA gears for pretty cheap even if they aren't steel.

If you want a good upgrade for one of the SRCs the best would be a tightbore barrel. It shoots at a good fps and the tightbore will increase it by about 10 fps and make it alot more accurate.

Um yeah a Drum Mag OR a smaller magazine. One of those, from the looks of it, being that the bottom of the mag is just below the weapon I would say a shorter magazine. DMR = Designated Marksman Rifle NOT Drum Magazine Rifle. smile.gif

The DMAR is a sharphooting rifle? Looks so much like a support gun.
