Cool, Academy put something else out. I was wondering if that L85 was going to be their only model. At this price, it would be the cheapest AKS74U on the market.

Aargh, after I buy the VFC the CA version comes out and now this? It's my favorite firearm ever, though, so I can't really be mad. How pleasant it would be if the entire Airsoft world was using them...

Yeah, that's it! So strange. I don't think it would ever be released, though. Not for a price any mortal/non-Spartan could afford, at least.

Not necessarily bad at the time in which it was designed, but certainly an obsolete design today.

Hmmm. I hope this will be way better than their L85.

Well who knows, Korean guns are very good in detailed externals, but for the internals, well not so great, so I guess its a new movement.

I thought Korean law said Airsoft guns couldn't fire over 0.5J or was i mistaken, this is why i was led to believe the Academy L85, of which i now happily own, had a low power.

meh, im waiting till the chinese metal 74u body comes out, then get a JG krinkov, find a way to fit some 74u grips (i hear its possible with a bit of modding) and ta-da

Plastic top cover? Jeez, does that one suck. I could understand plastic body. Hell, even plastic stock if it was properly designed. But plastic topcover? Thank you, I'll rob a bank and buy a CA instead.

The SA80 isn't the only Academy. They do an XM177 and and M4 amonst others. Thats what the Cybergun XM177 AEG and M4 AEG (The one with the "BAX" system) are. Cybergun rebranded Academy's.
The very Academy M4 on their website.
This makes me wonder whether it will be released as an Academy like the SA80, or whether Cybergun are going to get their filthy claws into it, like a lot of the Academy range.
