In black the Scar looks sweet, that Acog looks pretty smart too, nice sight picture and reticle. Shame I have to hang on for a while before my next AEG or optics purchase. Oh well, maybe by then there will be a SCAR CQC in black, that would be my ideal choice...

Agreed. Also, I thought CQC was the very short version of the SCAR, this one being the mid-sized barrel? There is a shorter one, innit?

First of all:

If it's not Tan, it's not a SCAR. If it's not 7.62, I'm not bying it.

Otherwise, it's a nice gun.

The black looks nice, but I still like the Tan better.

Oh no, the cat's out of the bag now, the national security of every country in the Western world has been compromised because we all now know exactly what super secret armour carrier is used by a civilian shooting instructor who works for a company which founded itself as an alternative to paracord and duct tape.

mrk, watch your back dude, Chris Costa's beard is going to come and get you, I imagine in a similar way that Chuck Norris' might, and when it's done with you, Matt Johnson is going to make you a 750D Cordura bodybag (it's innovatively better than 500D and 1000D, naturally), in a khaki colour that's not quite green, not quite tan, not quite khaki. With grey trim, of course.

Yea thats what I thought. The CQC was the close quarter version of it with the short barrel... what they have there is the SCAR-L.

SCAR-CQC variants have 10.5" barrels, I believe. The standard SCAR has a 14.5" barrel and the SCAR-SV has an 18" or 20" barrel.

As for the coloration: It looks better in FDE. In black, it makes me want to hurl.

That ACOG actually looks pretty nice. It's only $98, does anyone know anything about it?

Can someone tell my why CA is calling this the "CQC" when it doesn't have a CQC outer barrel?

About colour, while I think its gorgeous, the black will stand out like a sore thumb in the woods, the brown/tan blends in much better, at least from the pics I have seen.

Maybe this new SCAR-CQC has their SCAR-L convertible barrel, from 10.5 to 14.5 on their website

Tan is nicer, and that is not a CQC. Acog is nice though.
