He hasn't been online since the 23rd May so what with that new pinned thread about him I think it is pretty safe to say he doesn't intend to be signing back in as "LordofWar".

Mods - Any chance you can have a wee ganders just to make sure that he hasn't created any more bogus accounts? Now that his LordofWar account has most definately been compromised, his usual MO is to create a new one fairly sharpish.

Oh will you look at that, there be an exemption for dealing with people such as yourself

" 29. - (1) Personal data processed for any of the following purposes-

(a) the prevention or detection of crime,

(B ) the apprehension or prosecution of offenders,"

Thread slightly more clutter free, Now guys if you are not directly involved as Arnie said do not post. Any one posting in this section who is NOT directly invovled will get a 1 week free holiday from the forums.

And the thread stays open until everything is resolved.

Funnily enough he's been responding to my PM's!

Apparently he's got his "solicitor" on to me as he says I have been named as the one who released his name, address and contact numbers into the public domain and guilty of breaching the DPA. Funny thing is though, when I did a little bit of searching to find out the possible link between LordofWar and stampman007, his details were already in the public domain. I don't think Neil has quite thought things through really.

Still, if he is responding to my PM's and not responding to your PM's which he should be doing, I think it is fair to say he is doing his utmost in trying to stall you in the hope that you will just give up and forget all about it.

NEVER GIVE UP!

Neil - Looking forward to getting another PM from you.

The DPA is written and intended for application to bodies and companies that store and distribute data about individuals, like banks, credit reference agencies etc etc. You'd have to consult a legal profesional however I don't believe that it carrys any relevence to a dispute between private individuals.

That's all pretty irrelevant anyway.

So outstanding remaining is "you can`t shoot me" and issue with shipped damaged equipment (lasers) and a partial refund that was agreed?

Well hello again everbody, apologies for my recent abscence, these things happen, no access to the wonderful world of cyberspace.

Guess what? Oh you guessed, never mind. Yes i'm still waiting to hear from ssshhh you know who. He obviously mistook my recent travels and inability to send pms as me giving up. Whoops, wrong again.

I'll be contacting the police with all the details i've laboriously researched and collated and printed out, a chat with a collegue in the know as it were put me straight on the legal standpoint and to be honest i'm happy to make sure he gets a record over the incedent, why should he get away with being a tea leaf?

I somehow don't think he'll be sending me any money in the next 3 days despite my previous offer to let his inaction slide and many second chances. I'll look forward to meeting him in court. ( if he turns up)

Hope everyone else here gets a result of some kind.
