Tanaka has an Arisaka Type 99, gas rifle for sale out in Japan now. Appears to have real wood, and is only ~$288.

Well, can't make sense of the Japanese with my First Year grammar....something about the Emperial Army, brave warriors, front line troops, skirmishers, flowers, and scattering......

Probably won't know about the real stocks until someone tries it. I doubt they wouldn't fit.

$288 doesn't sound bad--how much was their Kar98, like $350-ish?

mrk, watch your back dude, Chris Costa's beard is going to come and get you, I imagine in a similar way that Chuck Norris' might, and when it's done with you, Matt Johnson is going to make you a 750D Cordura bodybag (it's innovatively better than 500D and 1000D, naturally), in a khaki colour that's not quite green, not quite tan, not quite khaki. With grey trim, of course.

wait!? $288!? I must have it! If it's good that is.

I've been waiting along time for an Arisaka to come out for a long time. Just love that bolt action, smooth.

$288? You sure about that price? The K98 is usually around $500 +/- $50. If its true, thats a really nice price then.

that may just be the Japan price- airsoft stuff is always priced differently for japanese-made stuff in japan, versus the export tagline.

There was an extra 8 in the Yen price that I missed (IMG:http://www.arniesairsoft.co.uk/forums/style_emoticons/default/dry.gif)

Any Japanese gas guns manufactured after the 2006 Japanese FPS law are restricted (Unless they are export only versions). So yes this one is restricted too.

Ouch. Looks beautiful, though. It's nice having some news about something other than a "new" Glock or M4.
