That's about it really, I wouldn't have made a new topic, but the other one was 5 months old, and I really don't think many people would have read it.

So, anyways, it's pretty much the same as the CA, and the STAR, and the JLS(well...the JLS wasn't metal...)

Here is the gallery.

I think I prefer the Star externals, but I suppose its all going to come down to which is the most reliable.

so, this is now 4 tan SCAR-L's.

does nobody in R&D for these companies realise that by making something different, be it a different colour, or the H version, they will get more sales ? ok so STAR are doing other versions, but i bet the tan L version comes out first.

im no businessman, but it doesnt seem like a good plan.

Yeah, that's a good point. I dont see why people keep making them. I just want a black H.

Classic Army has already launched a black -L variant, C.Q.C., they've called it...
Clicky
But I agree, black would be better, to an extend... There were some pictures from 2004, when the Scar-H prototype (Real-Steel) was showcased, now THAT was a sweet gun...

Black SCARs are blasphemy. Every single one ever made should be cast into the fires of Mount Doom.

And now I'm torn... between the VFC SCAR-Light, which will probably be excellent or the Classic Army which is excellent. Of course, again, it's going to come down to externals. And CA might just have VFC beat, with the convertible barrel. Of course, the VFC does look tasty... and probably comes with the CQC barrel.

Don't buy CA out of principle, if they can't get a ###### v2 gearbox to work correctly yet, despite them working in their M4 series.

Uh... how can you be sure that they won't beat G&G and Star out of the gate?

Because VFC surely likes to take its time when releasing thing, they kept pushing back deadlines on their AEG's before.

Well I'm more likely observing and from observations of previous experiences, I am making a conclusion.

Am I the only one that think the plastic looks a lot cheaper on the VFC? Also, I'm noticing some minor differences that might be wrong... the right hand side mag release and the mag well both look weird to me.

I'd like to see a dark brown or green colour. Not sure if FN will do something like that with the real ones? Even that kinda 'Sig' grey colour from the early pics would be more appealing than black... Tan+Woodland=?

Buy moar Krylon.

EDIT: Also, as others have noticed, Flat Dark Earth works better in woodland than black does.

I think is because the VFC is a Gen 3 SCAR and the CA and STAR are Gen 2 versions of the SCAR.
