Yul kindly sent in pictures, which confirm the rumour that Chinese (copy of Hurricane) Eotech 551 and 552 are under development. Naturally, it is build around red dot technology and is not holographic, as real Eotechs are. At the time, only pictures of shroud and battery cases are available. i believe you look past the ridicule on a holo sight and at the dot in a RDS

Well most quality ChiMan optics (ACOGs for example) cost about $50-60. I'm hoping this will cost similar.

Yeah, that seems a bit better. I guess I was disappointed that the Chinese copy was barely less than the Hurricane (?) version.

I don't see any prices on their website. How did you know it costs $110 in the first place? Just wondering.

And they don't seem to be a retailer? But rather a manufactuere? I doubt they would be open to public sales? Or only bulk/supplier sales?

I doubt the price will be that much different. Remember that most Asian companies have their manufacturing done in China, so the manufacturing costs rarely get cheaper for the "Chinese" versions. If the Hurricane EoTech is going for about $140, the Chinese one will probably be 2/3 the price due to less markup.
