So I jumped over to Un to price out a custom job and I noticed that they are now selling clones. Ah, so what, who isn't these days... Now if they would just stock more of what I want...

It's a shame their site is still on such a slow server. For me it takes forever for the site to load and I have an uber fast connection. Then again, I've been f'ed over enough times by UN Co. that I wouldn't buy from them again anyway.

Stupid slow loading times, and customer service. They have parts I need though. Or at least they claim to have them in stock. So I'm going to try them again with a second order. Hopefully my experience will be better than the last.
We just need to wait for Dentrinty to stock clones, and then all the major HK dealers will have clones!!! Or did I miss a dealer...

I just don't get this whole 'clone' fad... why not just go for high-quality airsoft
I mean I know not everybody has the budget to accomodate high-end pieces, but still, why settle for cheap spin-offs...
ah well, i better stop rambling

Why settle for cheap knock-offs?
Because they are cheap?

Yeah, cheap for near-TM relaibability in the case of JG/Echo 1. I am currently looking at either a JG M4 S-System, JG M733, JG G36C, or maybe a JG MP5A4.

Clones allow for price points all over the board. If you want quality you have it in the big three. (TM, CA and ICS) If you want something in the mid-range you have a few options there. If you have a project in mind and want some cheap gun for parts or a limited budget you have clones.
This is called market point distribution. You have products at every range.
I hope that Spedz is incorrect about them closing...I couldnt find a thing and hope never to see them close doors.

OMG 4CHAN RELATED CONTENT B&
In all seriousness, this is hardly surprising. There is demand for clones => shops will sell clones.

Haha. NO U!
Anyhoo, UNCo is just doing their part to apply to a broader range of users. They might have realized that some of the clones are good bases for extensive mod projects. Trying to find some of the smaller, more minor bits and bobs on guns is impossible, so cheap clones are a relatively inexpensive source.
