A quick search of echo 1 on wiki came up with this article.
I can't wait! I hope the support weapons are up to scratch.

Sorry if this is old news.

It's confirmed. We have to wait and see what they end up actually releasing.

LOL "it's confirmed" Echo1 made a wishlist of things they hope someone else produces so they can private label it later? Or I guess they've made enough money private labelling stuff that they can start developing their own guns?

You guys do know people can pretty much post w/e they want on Wikipedia... Look at the source of the info...

Considering the clone M16VN that's out isn't an M16VN other than the handgrips, surely a RIS one would just be the same as any other RIS M16?

Well, I kept scrolling the list and going "oooh this" or "ooooh that" but then I saw that they might make an MG42 and I came.

what the heck is a G36 COMMANDO? I mean, the closest thing I can see is the G36c, but we know that the "c" stands for Compact and they already made one...

Wow... 4 support weapons (well, 3 support weapons and a minigun), either ECHO 1 is gonna wait till some chinese cloner makes them or they're actually gonna start designing... although I'm seriously questioning the validity of the article, and not just cause it's from wikipedia...

I call bullsh!rt.

I'll believe it when I see it in the white, or in resin casts - otherwise it's just fanboy wishing, just like the "recently announced" Tokyo Marui GBB SVD Dragunov, AEG HK21, and AEG Tavor: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tokyo_Marui

Yeah.

Because everything on the intarw3b is truth.

Funny no one else had made this annoucement, including TM themselves, a company with a notorious history of announcing guns years before they hit market.

I rather think some as*hat with a mean-on for a particular gun just edited the wiki.

I think M16VN "RIS" says it all...

Nothing like taking 21st century gear and transporting it back in time to fight the Viet-Cong...

Lol, I think RIS came after Vietnam. Why would you ever make a M16 VN with a RIS? I think their efforts would be better spent if they made a M16 with a M203 attatched and put those nuice hadguards and ladder sights on them.

EDIT: off topic, lol 733, you quoted me biggrin.gif

I hope your anger isn't directed at me, I just posted an interesting find. But to be honest, it doesn't look very valid to me either.

Well, it'll most likely come with a VN-type mag, thus obviously making it a M16VN. biggrin.gif

The fact that the article says that Echo1 makes the guns PROOVES that it's a fake. Everyone and their dog knows that Echo1 just rebrands KART (M14s), WELL (MP7) and JG (everything else)

Old designation.

The "C" originally stood for "Commando" then Colt sued H&K over copyright infringement (similar to what they did with the HK416, it was originally the HKM4)

How can Colt copyright the word "Commando"? Well, anyways, that still doesn't answer how Echo 1 plans to release a G36 Commando after they already have a G36C.
