Abit more in the title would have been better aswell.
Viral.

What more info do you want in the title other than "Chinese AKSU and Eotech 552"?

$280 for the AKSU? I'd rather pay extra for the VFC!

excellent point, compared to other clones it's expensive but its still relatively cheap, I think I'd still go for the VFC though but thats just me.

Go away! mad.gif
Now they also put those ****ing Stickers on the Cheapotechs. What's next? Real logos/trade marks like onto the Larue knock-off?

The price of the AKS74U is ridiculous! For 100$ more you can get a VFC w/ real trade marks and a good Gearbox... "Installed with CYMA gearbox", are you serious?! wacko.gif

It's the Combo. wink.gif Why pay for a clone w/ cheap GB if you can have a superb model for not much more?

Just compare it, they sell it almost for the same price. Because they build it with cheap parts, they probably get as more profit as the company from which they're cloning.

Lol.

Lets face it, most of airsoft's premise when not looking at the game itself is based on how cool something looks. The majority of players softing have airsoft kit in use that is effectively a copy of the real one : in itself a clone, even if it isn't a clone in the sense of operating in the same way for the exact same purpose. Be that the weapon itself or the tactical gear / kit.

Just because it costs less and looks the same, it doesn't exactly devalue or make an expensive "proper" version any less awesome or cool. To me clones actually make the "proper" aegs etc look better, and I'd still be happy to pay more for something that is likely benefitting from better construction or finish than its clone counterpart.

It might be a bit sneaky of the ACM's to just take someone elses hard work and cheapify it for their own profit, but it gives more choice to buyers and gives an option of whether or not they want to own the gun whether it be at a cost of $400 or $800.

I have only ever owned TM, CA or WA or CAW, and currently own two TM guns that both have clones out by various companies. I prefer the big name brands but that wouldn't stop me buying an ACM if it had particular appeal. Indeed, I just preordered one of the A&K M249's. If you can for less money and are happy to compromise somewhat compared to more expensive options on certain aspects, why not biggrin.gif

I certainly wouldn't mind a cheapotech, sure beats hammering my wallet for the real deal at like 4x the price tag.

I smell eliteism again wink.gif

edit: arse, missed a letter

Whats your problem, man? Whenever some new clone/chines product is out that people fancy, you have to come here to expose your hate towards ChiComs to people who really dont care what you think.

Seriously: why do you do this?

1) Noone forces you to buy these things.

2) It doesnt affect your stuff. In fact, it can only make it cheaper.

So how miserable is your life you cant find better things to do than telling people you dont like what they love? Think about it: ever seen someone go to the PTW forum to tell people their guns suck?

Servus

Sorry for the flaming: but this kinda "No-clones-integrists" were hard to get rid of/calm down on my local forum and this guy just brought back memories of those times.

I think i'll get the AKSU kit and drop my VFC gearbox inside and just keep switching the gearbox between the two, will have more than enouth time to do it at home or at lunch break at the site. Why buy more than one gearbox when you can only use one at a time?

Also The AKSU has the tula trade marks so i think you could pretty easily stamp a star and some random numbers onto the side for trades (i probably will), i bet you can even find a star shaped stamp on the net somewhere

@chas (and all others)

OK, i've been over-reacting, that happens when i got too much sugar.
I have to apologise for how i said it but my opinion remains.

no kitlist will be especially any more when you can buy clones of everything. The trouble is also, illegal cloning destroys other brands. And someone who buys cheap AEGs supports this. At least someone who plays our sport often.
If a new player wants to test the game with a cheap gun, it isn't a problem but if longstanding airsoftlers do that, it's irresponsible.

If the clone-hype goes on, manufacturers like TM, Guarder, G&P, VFC, etc. will disappear from the market because they are not longer able to profit from selling their ASGs/accessories.
Those manufacturers develop new models of AEGs, new technical innovations and so on.

Do you think companies like D-Boy, PANTAC, JG, A&K, ect. will adopt this part of research when the original companies goes broke? I don't. sad.gif

That's the problem in my life, i fear mainstream! rolleyes.gif
I've no problem with lucky people who love their stuff but if these people are so shortsighted and unreasonable... that makes me mad.

I hope now my opinion is more clear expressed. Again sorry for my first posting, it was just unreasonable.

This is a news thread so i would prefer to take this off-topic discussion to PM, if you have more to say. wink.gif

- To avoid being screwing/unscrewing things all the time.
- To have a backup, in case your only gearbox fails wink.gif.
- To lend to some friend your 2nd gun.
- To have different powers in your guns, making them specific for woodland, cqb, etc.
