thornado
This is cool. Ex-IDF members who are airsofters have released Galil ARM, SAR, Micro Galil, and are making the Tavor. They look like the real steel versions of the IDF Galil rifles. You can also view the video of the Galils they're advertising: http://www.popularairsoft.com/news/galil-a...il-tsi-armories How much will these cost?
otherrandomhero
How much will these cost? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Seeing how the video says "go to TSI armories today and order yours now" I'm guessing it wouldn't be hard to find out. The website says you can e-mail them for a price quote. I'd do it if it wasn't a galil (eww).
thornado
IDF retirement pay must be good!!! That's some SCHWANK video production, coming from someone who does that for a living, so I'm hoping the guns are as good as the promotion. Unless one of these guys has that voice and skilz with the video, they sunk some serious $ $ ching into that clip, and will likewise be charging a premium price for their work. (OR, if this is NOT legit, this is one of the best punk'd scam guns of all time! A-La-Geraldo opening Capone's vault-level good!) <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
WildCard
But why only 500 pcs? If somebody finds out how much one costs then please post it here
thornado
Must be a limited edition, collector's item, given that they're all hand-made. I'm scared to ask for the price. But why only 500 pcs? <{POST_SNAPBACK}>
Angry
I've always had a thing about the Galil. I hope the ARM is more affordable than the Inokatsu version.

thornado
Hi Guy, Nice to see you around here. Is there a spec sheet regarding these? These are also available at retailers? Thanks! Hey guys, My name is Guy, and I'm the owner of TSI Armories. The guns are a limited production run, and sold as a fully upgraded aeg with prices in the $800-900 range. Magsz
Wow...that was impressive. All i have to say is if TSI's video capabilities match their aeg production capabilities we might have a VFC killer on our hands.
uscmCorps
Finally! I know the guys behind this. Really good, hard working guys. The Galils will be priced well below the Inokatsu ones. After having held one and seeing all the accuracies put into it vs. a regular Inokatsu Galil, I told Guy right then and there that they had better put me down for a preorder. I never knew how inaccurate the Inokatsus actually were until I compared the two. Side by side, the Inokatsu looks like an AK dressed up to look like a Galil. This new TSI one appears to be a completely different story. There is more to be said, but I don't know how much they want to reveal yet, however I will mention that the TSI Galils will have some RS parts, and good internals right out of the box. Also, and this is pretty awesome, it was planned to have each Galil custom spec-ed to the user's/customer's preference for FPS! As airsoft has become such an international hobby/sport, custom spec-ing a rifle to whatever the user wants it to shoot right out of the box is an incredible notion and one I wish more Airsoft companies would consider adopting. This has been in the works for a while. Hence why the mention of another company a few weeks back allegedly wanting to produce a Tavor was of great concern... especially being that I knew TSI Armories have the exclusive international copyrights to produce them. As for the Tavor, it should be very accurate being that they have a lot of support from both the IDF and IMI. Personally, I find it invigorating to see a non-Asian company producing Airsoft. TSI are not repackaging another company's rifles and calling it their own. This rifle has been in development for a while now as the R&D guys have been carefully refining and tuning the prototypes in preparation for the limited production run. As the advertisement says... this is made in the USA by Skirmishers... for skirmishers! Can't wait to get my Galil. Edit: Looks like Guy has announced the price range: $800 to $900. That's a lot cheaper than Ino... and it's fully built ready to rock right out of the box.
Magsz
Heh, you said it man. Its quite a thrill to see guns being made here in the US of A.
IronWolf
Really looking forward to the Tavor
thornado
Hey what about us here in the UK? Any news that they'll be retailed here?
uscmCorps
Hey what about us here in the UK? Any news that they'll be retailed here? <{POST_SNAPBACK}> From what I recall, I think there was a lot of interest from various retailers to carry the TSI line up. Not sure what the outcome of that was. In truth, I personally feel that TSI should just sell their AEGs directly themselves. Why have a middle man to eat into your profits? I believe they were going to be selling this internationally through their website. The fact that they were having the rifles custom spec-ed to the user's desired FPS range was partly in observance that different parts of the world have different laws and regulations and they wanted to ensure that people got what they wanted. I'd really recommend emailing Guy directly for specific questions though. I'm just really glad, nay, giddy, to see TSI finally making the announcement.
Donut
Gaaaah, that tavor is not making me happy
Maple-Leaf
We had the pleasure of meeting these guys at The Weekend of Heroes show back in June. I thought at first they were advertising real-steel, or de-act, Galils. You should have seen my face when they informed me that they were actually 100% authentic airsoft versions. I can't wait to get my mitts on one... In the meantime, here's a couple of photos I took at the show.

Efficency65
...the GALIL (like the UZI) has always been something a little different...that signifies the history and strength of Israel... I gotta get me one of these...there is only one supplier in the UK for the Inokatsu version and they only stock the kit (if they have any left) for upgrading a stock AK...if TSI will be selling to UK...count me in... So Guy can or will u be supplying the UK?
TSI Armories
Guys, thanks for all the kind words and comments. The guns are available ONLY through our we site. Each one is build according to the owner's specs and the applicable laws of his/her place of residence. For that reason, I quote each gun myself based on each individual request. ....and to the AI guys - one SAR is coming your way real soon...
sekiryu
So they're built at request, so after the production run, can we still order them?
ardrummer292
Did you guys ever consider making the Negev? I'd buy one. http://world.guns.ru/machine/mg22-e.htm
uscmCorps
BTW, a few other tid bits of info: these rifles come with MOSFETs built in, which improve ROF, have active breaking, extend battery life and the life of the internals by giving you virtually zero electrical resistance and increased efficiency etc etc etc. The MOSFETs are built by this gentlemen, who most will agree makes some of the best MOSFETs in the industry. Info about the internals: Guarder and Modify parts. Guy and the crew at TSI had these all built into the rifles by default (i.e. as part of the $800-$900 price range). As you can imagine, these parts aren't cheap, but the fellas at TSI felt that they were a worthwhile expense in order to give the customer a top of the line AEG. The magazines: The Galils will work with AK Mags. There are plans in the near future to produce Galil style mags. These are going to be awesome.
Angry
i'd definitely have one of these. *fruitcage* VCRA
scithe
wow. if i could afford one i would deffinitely be getting it out of curiosity though, is the galil the new version, or the old one with the beer bottle opener on the grip? o, and guy, i am moving to israel around december, so i was wondering if you knew of any way i would be able to bring my g-spec into the country. last i heard there are really strict airsofting laws there, but you could easilly get ahold of an airsoft gun if it was for a play or something. anyway, i would appreciate any info you could give about this. uscmCorps
TSI Armories website... because no one seems to have put it up here yet. Speaking with Guy a few minutes ago, a Tavor prototype will hopefully be available in a couple months! Also, the preorders for Galils are going through the roof!
