I'm not sure whether this really qualifies as news but...
Some of you will have noticed the project of the same name on this very site Linkageand some of you may have wondered whether it's worth doing.
Well at the start of the month (I know, it took me a while to post this) I went to Fireball for the first time since I made the modification. So I can now update everyone as to whether it works or not.
Most people who saw the pistol didn't notice the modification (so it blends in well enough, plus point one) and bar one occasion it didn't actually come out of the holster for the day outside the safezone (which those of you who have read the project will realise has more importance than it might seem) and on a number of occasions I subjected the gun to some heavy shock loads - one that sticks in my mind occured at border bridge, my groin aducters felt it in the morning...
And the news is?
I didn't come close to loosing a mag. All the running (including suicide mosscart charges), all the times I dropped to one knee on the run, all the squatting behind cover... Nothing, the modification certainly seems to work (I would say "It Works!" but that might seem a little full of myself).

Very nice guide. I honestly couldn't tell the difference until I read this article as well. Your modification looks absolutely great.
