Anyone have one and tested it yet? biggrin.gif

Pro-Arms 3 Burst FET System for Marui AEG

Pro-Arms 3 Burst FET System for Marui AEG. Installs into any AEG to give you a 3-shot burst function. Note that not all AEG's have enough room to store this FET so ask our sales representative for more information. For experienced airsoft players with knowledge of how to upgrade guns. Expert installation recommended!

Installation steps are as follows:

- Open the gearbox and remove old wiring.
- Lead the white signal cords (S+) and (S-) to the switch tabs in place of the old wires. Polarity does not matter.
- Lead the red and white motor cords (M+) and (M-) to the motors. The red (M+) goes to the plus side.
- Reassemble the AEG and connect the battery. The burst device will beep four times. Semi-Automatic is now a burst mode instead.
- Removing the jumper tab by pulling from the plastic part retains regular semi-auto functioning. When you reconnect the battery, the burst device will beep twice to indicate a normal semi-auto function.

If the battery voltage is incorrect, the burst device starts continuous beeping after two seconds. When the battery power becomes too low, the burst device makes a continuous long sound signal.

Burst instead of semi? Awesome! Detecting when battery power gets low is pretty nifty too.

Thats kind of odd that they decided to replace semi with burst...

Id much rather have an AEG with semi and burst instead of semi and auto.

Anyone else agree with me here?

Yeah, I think it would be nice to have a true M16 A4 with the S-1-3 fire selection. I was going to splice one of these into a Sig 552 and my M16.

Hopefully this one works. Unlike the Airtronics unit (when setup as a mosfet that is).

Because you know, when you are in the field, undercover and your battery dies you'll hear a nice long audible beep to alert me to your position so I can shoot you lol. Though I do like that idea.

Your airtronics unit didn't work with mosfet? Mine's worked perfectly fine with mosfet installed.

Neither of mine worked correctly as mosfets themselves. They will fire burst on semi and auto. The instructions I got from Airtronics (after 6 months) seemed half-arsed together. It doesn't seem like they were designed correctly to be used this way. Even though they were advertised to be so.
They did work ok wired in between the battery and gb though.

Probably. I know Airtronics sold the designs. It sounds like they (Pro-Arms) has changed it, with the battery alarm and such. Hopefully they fixed the other issues as well. Especially the customer service issues tongue.gif

Agreed. Clearly they have designed it for triggerhappy hicap-maniacs tongue.gif

If they would just make one the other way around I would be interested.

Why do you need an electronics chip to fire burst, have we forgotten how to let go of the trigger

I have a couple units from Psefervii (sp?). I haven't tried one of Gandolf's yet. I always used to build my own, but it's almost the same price to buy theirs, and the quality is superb.

I have one too, i havent gotten a chance to install it. Need to get some wiring to replace the motor wires at the same time before i close the box up, hopefully for the last time in a while. I consider it a good investment because i find the stock electrical system failing too often in my guns.

I dont see why Gandolfs wouldnt be good as well, i just went with the other because it was the first one i saw. Gandolf has a cool video on the effects of the active braking vs non active breaking.

right on, I've emailed Psefervii but haven't heard back from him yet.... I usually get stuck in a support weapon roll, so am I right to believe that a MOSFET will help increase efficiency with long bursts? My motor got so hot last game it was really uncomfortable to hold on to.
