Saw this picture about a Dboys AKS74U posted. Can anyone confirm if this is really true?

It is true. And from the review, DBoy's seems much better than Cyma's.

Hahaha...true or not true, discussions are ongoing in other forums.

Weird though....some of those in HK say that the CYMA is a much better make than DBoys.

Cyma may well be a better make internally than dboys offerigns up till now but externally the dboys looks the best of the current crop of chinese AKSUs

The cyma has an alloy reciever (and on photos Ive seen a couple of nasty looking screws)

the unicorn I have here and is quite nice steel receiver and prety much all steel external parts and damn good value for money but still adopts Inokatsu way of attaching various parts and has a horrible bolt

The Dboys looks to be an out and out VFC clone has a steel receiver same as the unicorn one and seems to tick all the boxes interms of method of construction etc. Unless it weighs in significantyl more expensive than the unicorn one it would the main one of the three to watch (unless your sat in UK facing being SOL when it comes to self imports and dont have the time to wait for it to hit any HK dealers) which is why i gave up waiting and plunked the cash down on a unicorn one.

if you arent pushed for time like we are over here (and if its not tooo long in appearing) then yeh I dont see any sense in jumping into a descision till all three are out

On paper (well in photos) at least then it does look the nicest of the three wether that still stacks up when its finally out and folks get to compare the real things handle them etc rather than just photos is obviously a different story

This is a new development. Airsoft-news.eu has confirmed the DBoys AKSU, but new name though:

"Yul sent this picture of Kalash Airsoft RK-01. Now, this is pretty interesting- typography, phrases, configuration of the box and general layout of the replica suggest that this is in fact Boyi AK74SU. Reason behind the decision to ditch Boyi/Dboys name in favour of new name is not known at this time. Click to supersize, with thanks to Yul."

Ok, so... it's cheaper than the Unicorn and comes with a (probably ######) battery and sling. The plot thickens!

its also shy of a few steel parts that the unicorn has

Front and rear trunnions and front sight block are the ones that spring to mind and also the bolt (but steel or not the unicorn bolt is poo)

Outer barrel I suspect will be alloy too but the unicorn has an alloy outer barrel also so thats pretty much a wash

other remaining issue is the handguards I imagine those will be plastic versus wood on the unicorn

when it comes thru I'll do a side by side comparison with the unicorn but as thats likely to be a few days at least could be academic for anyone in the UK untill local dealers have stock
