When the scenario gets going, it won't matter what time of day it is. Just ask anyone who's attended the event. And what is it about the rules that you don't like?

The badger would be interested but wonders why no AEPS, and why is a week and a half before Halloween?

We tried AEPs with Biohazard Intervention and found that they actually detract from the environment we're trying to establish for the event. Players know that they'll need both gas and BBs (which we supply in the field) so they need to make their shots count. Additionally, they need to locate the reload stations to do so and then secure them before attempting reloads. It makes for quite a scare.

As for the week and a half before Halloween, that was careful consideration. We always try to shoot for the 3rd weekend in October. Why? Most people already have parties, haunted houses and other seasonal obligations and considerations that need to be accounted for. Besides, having it when we do gives them something cool to talk about at the Halloween party!

I really don't understand where there is much issue with the rules. Personally, I'd like to see mag shotguns dumped in favor of only shell-loading shotties. That would make me smile, but this setup is not a dealbreaker. It actually works pretty well.

I'm not sure what anyone ever thinks AEPs will add to it. Is it the capacity or rate of fire? They're not nearly as fun to shoot as a GBB. There's no satisfying pop as the slide slams back. The AEP models (that you could use in this game) are all replicated as decent GBBs, so it can't be an issue of really wanting to carry a Glock 18, but having no GBB options available.

People have brought up the ammo issue with AEPs in Biohazard. AEPs can use ridiculous mags. It just doesn't work. Again, I'd prefer to have far fewer rounds available on the field, but what's there works. You're supposed to be tense, unnerved by having too few rounds and too many enemies. It's not about being an unstoppable combat demon with a bullet hose. He already exists in the game and the role is taken.

Bring that dormant combat sense to the game. It's a good change-up after playing traditional games where two sides hunker down and lob thousands of rounds at each other from poison oak-infested hiding spots.

At the bottom of each After Action Report.

EDIT: You can get a small sample of the event through them. Most of the pictures were saved to be used for the complete After Action Reports published in Issues 4, 8 and 12 of The NAM: National Airsoft Magazine. Not only does it give the players who've attended the event a chance to hold actual shots from the event in their hands, but it gives the sponsors an additional incentive to send really good prizes for the event.

I was worrying that my new shotgun wouldn't arrive in time. I swore after last year that I'd bring a shotgun. Then again, it goes that way each time. Year 1: decided I didn't want to carry much gear. Year 2: purchased lots of gear I wanted and was sure I needed. Year 3: went basic, swearing I wouldn't carrying too much gear. For year 4, I'm trying to hold off on buying lots of stuff I'll just leave at the start area. Still, I buy one new pistol each year for this, even if I don't use it.

Hey Reaper I felt the bang kill option was abused last game. I remember this guy would just bang kill everyone with his shotgun at maximum range. That was no fun dry.gif.

So who's coming? Any special load outs or themed costumes? I'm trying to get Team Suicidal to come.

Oh Monk, tell your brother that I'm going to hunt him down for shooting at his own team. Oh yea, he didn't even give us a proper briefing! He just ran in like a madman!

The last game was pretty fun but I'm glad we're back at Moss Landing. I always remember that field. Doc has some niiice land.

You do realize he was a special character, right? He was supposed to be treacherous. Heck, you guys worked for the company that caused the outbreak. No honor among thieves.

I'm going to bring my Sig Sauer 226 from last year. I was really close to buying a new gun, but I couldn't make up my mind and there wasn't that much in GBBs coming out this year that I wanted to get. It was a toss up between a KSC UNCo custom Sig 2340 and an UNCo-modded USP. I already have a 2340 and I don't care that much about the USP, so I ended up with nothing.

What about you?

Dood where'd you go? I brought a WA Infinity with a pink slide and Hello Kitty Stickers to shoot your brother =/. j/k. I didn't buy any new pistols I brought my glock 18c and a TM Hi-Capa 4.8. I only shot 1 clip in all, so like 30 shots. AAR report coming soon.
