I own three Armalite variants already so it's not like I don't like them, I just don't see anything original here.

well releasing all 11 variants in a oner rather than teasing them out with endless individual product launches is refreshing at least

I see STAR is still run by a bunch of cracked-up smack-tards.

I said hopefully, since I don't know what the lower receivers are made of. If it's machined solid T6061 aluminum or some similar grade, then I think they have something special here. They beat VFC's line, at least.

Now, having said that, these star ar15 variants do look extremely nice and they offer a couple things that no other variant does out of the box, namely the large diameter ball bearings in the box and the unique lower reciever. I dont think there is a stones throw in hell that the lowers are cnc'd forged aluminum but who knows...lol
For the people that cant afford ptw's or dont want to spend that kind of money on something like that, the star offers a fairly decent alternative. Also, for the guys out there that are absolutely anal about details, the star bodies have some really neat looking roll pins and the trademarks are etched rather well.
PS, i cant access redwolf either...yay!

Their L85 was a bit more original than most companies, if indeed you're saying that STAR isn't original... honestly I'm not sure what I'm meant to glean from this statement other than an insult directed at STAR.

Star's SCAR should be interesting though.

Or, we may have people who like a certain brand and stick to it. That's why all the brands want to make their own version of the bog standard M4A1.
I like some of the STAR innovations like the quick change spring, solid connection between the gearbox and hop-up, and real spec buffer tubes. If the receivers are indeed machined (even from billet, not necessarily forging,) instead of cast, they could be very much worth it for the shells alone.
Redwolf site seems to be back up now.

Go whine about that elsewhere. If Star doesn't mess up these AEGs (heh,) then I think they might have something here.
