"Marushin's replica of Imperial Japanese Army's sidearm will undoubtedly receive warm welcome in Japan, and probably less enthusiastic response in other parts of the world. This peculiar looking model will be available as 8 mm GBB replica in two models (both come with wooden grips):

Type 14 Early model 16,000 Yen (96.48 EUR) - left
Type14 Late model 16,800 Yen (101.30 EUR) - right

Both will be available in late December, with thanks to Mojji and NodaYa Shop."

Maybe this could mean a GBB ruger.

Not entirely sure if it'll recieve a warm welcome - the real pistol was apparently utter pants, prone to jamming or misfiring.

Perhaps for WW2 buffs, but for anyone else, no.

Sure it'll be popular with some - A GBB Nambu's got to be better than an NBB one and this isn't something TM are even going to make biggrin.gif

There's a whole swathe of Marushin GBBs I'd like to try and the Nambu's right up there amongst them (along with the Mauser and SIG P210).

Cheers.

first the GBB C96 and now this? WHY DO YOU TAUNT ME WITH YOUR PLASTICS AND 8MM BBS MARUSHIN?!? WHYYYY?!?

i actually quite like the looks of the nambu, with it's luger meets mauser stylings and action.

Hopefully it works better than the real ones.

I hope they make a Mk.II someday as well. If the Nambu is as close in dimensions as it looks it shouldn't be too hard, should it? But if they dare make it in 8mm...

Anyhow, I wonder if this has that new LD2 hop system. I can't see them abandoning it this early after its release, but possibly they would?

Edit:

I know, they were the first or one of, weren't they? I meant it would be unusual for Marushin to abandon the LD2 they just released.

Or have they had it for a while and I'm just talking out of my you-know-what?

Of course the Automag's bolt is quite similar too, so a GBB Ruger's probably far from impossible.

Cheers.

The Sig P210 has it (LD-2 that is), so it has been around for awhile. I don't think they are abandoning it anytime soon. I wish they would.

Quite honestly, I'd rather have the Luger, as it's a much better "Luger" based pistol, at least in real life. The nambu is just the knockoff clone of the Luger, and aparaently whoever redesigned failed miserably at life. Luger's aren't too relyable, but at least the one's I've shot have been pretty cool (my ex's (weep's with misery, god I miss her sad.gif ) dad had one, and it was pretty neat). Meh. Now I want to go and drink again... dry.gif

Er, the Nambu is mostly of its own design, and is more similar to the Mauser C96 than a Luger, according to Wiki and Modern Firearms.

Oddly enough, I also found out that the Ruger gets its a part of its design from the Nambu, so it really shouldn't be hard to make a GBB Mk.II. I'll settle for a MkIII, as well, but the 'II just seems more unique.

a GBB luger wouldnt be new or exciting, tanaka do one and why get a marushin over a tanaka??? and as chris said its closer to a C96 in a luger shaped shell, rather than using a luger style 'toggle' bolt it has a mauser style almost rifle like bolt. so the mechanism itself is far closer to the C96

and who cares about how reliable the RS was? does it matter in AIRSOFT? you dont make an airsoft gun on the basis of whether the RS worked or not because you can MAKE the airsoft version work

Where Marushin decided in a torrent of stupidity that putting a SECOND hop-up half-way along the inner barrel was a good idea.

NEWSFLASH, MR MARUSHIN:

It's f**king not. That's a retarded idea, and I hope that someone sets you on fire for even thinking it was.

you have to remember, that to most people, if it looks similar, then its a clone. for example, see people who think that the AK is a clone of the Stg.44

Yeah, why can't Mr Maurshin be like Mr Marui and give us exciting new airsoft guns like 1911s and Hi-Capas... sad.gif

Credit it where it's due - The LD2 system might not be any good, but at least they don't just slavishly follow the herd...

Cheers.
