The motor in any AEG is at some "angle". As long as the pinion meshes correctly with the bevel gear then it doesn't matter what angle it is at.

No problems fitting a bettery in my SOCOM. But yes as far as I can remember the battery fits in the stock still.

that looks rather ugly IMO. far from the worst M14 stock/mod i've seen *cough* EBR *cough*, but its still by no means pretty. that said the cheek rest looks quite nice, on an ordinary M14 i dont think it would look too out of place.
now will someone hurry up and make a JAE-100 stock. its the only vaguely 'tactical' M14 mod that looks any good.

Seconded! That is a beautiful stock and an airsoft version would be awesome.
As it stands, that DMR stock is nice - but will it fit not TM M14s?

How about emailing JAE about it? They are such a small company that airsoft buyers could look attractive to them. Magpul is a lot larger and they have decided totake the step,so I can think of a reason for some of you folks with proper english to write a nice letter to get themat least interested in our market niche.

The JAE is far supperior for RS operation. I have one on my M14 and they're top notch. I think it looks great too, gives it the Sci-Fi look you just described, just like putting a short front on an SL-9.
As for the McMillain DMR stock... blech. I never foudn them to be built particularly well. I can't imagine it's worth it to upgrade to one of these. It's not like it's practical or anything; as AEG's have no kick there's no reason to get a pistol grip. If you just installed a cheek piece on a regualr stock it'd accomplish exactly the same thing. I wouldn't buy one unless you absolutly hated regualr rifle stocks.

Agreed, if it's good enough for the marines it's good enough in my book. That said if I had another donor M14 I'd be making one of these, as the DMR is badass.
