That's an awefully expensive piece of metal... what allows them to charge so much? Surely they're making an outragous profit on that... it can't cost much at all to manufacture...

SD is CNC aluminum and high quality. I am not a cow, just a guy that needs a full metal Detonics. Ordered mine last night. Funny thing is that Den is sold out on the slides, now all they have are frames.

The price certainly is high but I guess that it is no worse than $230 Hi-Capa frames.

Gotta love being taken advantage of.

A rail...... huh.gif

really...

For a gun that is intended to sit in a ankle holster or concealed holster behind your back and be pulled as a backup weapon?

What would you put on that tiny little rail? a tiny little light? or laser?

Why do they have to make black frames and silver slides? Surely this is an old school gun so it should be all back, silver or silver frame and black slide.

DEN has silver frames as well.

I think all told there are four different versions, two silvers and two blacks. The other variation is between classic and...er...non-classic.

Yeah Den does have all four. One set has the new Detonics USA trademarks, the other has the "classic" Detonics trademarks. Since the SD slide is a MKVI, I chose the Classic (yeah I know my grips are the new ones).

My lord that is expensive. I like the Detonic though. They're pretty neat/

But still...$213?!?! For that price I would expect steel, but that's just me I guess.

Has no one ever made a frame out of steel? It would seem like a obvious custom option to me as unlike a slide the gun would function fine with a steel frame.

Looks to me their about neck n neck right now....

Hopefully PGC will release a complete kit soon.
