Hey Kids I recently just got a e-mail from SYSTEMA/ZShot announcing that they are releasing a new gearbox called "Revolution". I was also told there is a "secret" about the gearbox in the form of an "extra shaft" (what it does I'm not sure but possibly for recoil action?). Anyway this will be present at ShotShow in the next couple days if any of you are going (but the website claims you need to make a reservation to see a preview)

As I can see in the picture it now has FOUR (4) shafts aka gears. This WILL be interesting indeed.

Maybe so.  I hope so it would be nice to have 3 round burst instead of just FA/SA/Safe  Although I get the feeling this will bemore MP5 oriented though if it has FA/3RB/SA/SAFE.

Bjorn I just looked at the picture and the fourth shaft is located where the ARL is.  So maybe its a less PITA ARL?

less stress on the complete set-up? more efficiency? We still don't know exactly is in it/how they will make room for for a 4th gear. Maybe its just a simpler anti-reversal latch (second most hated part of the gearbox)?

the extra gear is for 3 round burst, go look at the mp5 pictures

Good call guys, ZShot has been observing you and your guesses and observations! They have quietly mentioned to me that you're on the right track as far as they know (or allowed to say rather). Anywho, the unit is supposed to be a drop in unit for a V2 type gearbox "with a PTW twist" and is believed to have a burst function! However, the 4th shaft is not for an ARL

Ahh who called the Mp5 connection?   So long as it fits in an armalite and 3 round burst comes before FA i'm happy   I could care less about FA.

is the shot counter going to be used for anti-dryfire purposes (probable) or LED Aliens like ammo counters (not probable), or letting people know they're wasting ammo (well these are training weapons...)?

if this is in V2 form I'm tempted to put it in my G&P Mk46 and slap on an MP5 selector lever.

noticed gears are lined up differently so it's definitely mechanical rather than electric. Noticable too are different screw placements and a lack of an ARL axle in the rear.

New gear ratio seems very likely due to layout.
Seems that it would be likely that they've redesigned the method by which both the piston and loading nozzle are actuated.

Possibly.

The way in which the PTW chambers and fires bb's is actually really cool.

Sure sounds like the engrish for a reading mech for a burst/shotcounter

right instead of trolling go do something more useful, maybe grow up? By "bearing" odds are its a ball bearing and it'd be a shame to accuse someone of Engrish especially if they're a US resident and US representative of Systema as ZShot is the US division.

This does look like it has the ability to tell when gears are spinning. I'm thinking it's more of a "tell you when your gears are worn down" thing. You would put it near a wireless receiver and it would give you the complete health of your gun?

Also looks like it has a built-in electronic trigger, so probably 3-round burst on a chip.

Plus electronic mode selection, like semi, burst etc.

Or we could all be wrong.

so, your saying that they put an extra gear in the gearbox, specifically to add bearings to it
