It seems Marushin likes releasing their new guns without much announcement,

Marushin already released an NBB Nambu several years ago, but this is the GBB version. Althought I'm a pistol fan, I hate this design....

Greetings

These were announced for sale in November of 2007 for shipment in Japan 12/07 or 01/08.

Have a feeling the only reason they flew "under the radar" is due to where people are checking for info.

It's somewhat fitting. I think that the Nambu pistols used an 8mm round.

That being said, I'd like to see them make this version of the Nambu next.

A Marushin 8mm Nambu...finally a Marushin whose fragility, unreliability, innaccuracy and ######-weak power output correctly matches the original. wink.gif

Oh, but it'll only be 100% accurate repro if you can reassamble it in a manner which turns it into a frag grenade when the unlucky user pulls the trigger.

Have a lot of experience with Marushins? Their NBBs (revolvers excepted possibly) are generally very reliable and not at all fragile and most certainly not weak (even in 8mm form).

Admittedly the GBBs aren't capable of amazing fps figures (the heavy BBs see to that), but the actual POWER is on a par with the much vaunted TM, even if they can't compete in accuracy terms with the ill-conceived LD2 system.

My Automag's construction, however, looks like it's hewn from granite (well relatively... smile.gif ).

I'd expect the Nambu to be reasonably good, given it's got a bolt mechanism similar to the Automag, although Marushin's guns will alway be more of a collector's interest piece than the skirmishers choice.

Cheers.

i know everyone is saying that it is a bad gun, but has anyone tested a Marushin nambu?
for the same price, what is the best GBB to get, and how much different is that to the nambu in performance?
anyone seen a Tokarev TT-33 for around 100 quid?
