How about you set up a poll here instead?
Each user can only vote once.
If you can't sort that out, PM me the categories and nominations and I'll create the poll for you.
My experience here, since Arnie's backed away from the controls: An admin allows public libel on a news announcement which is completely irrelevant to said news announcement. And then, once the forum is locked, another admin chimes in with more public libel (remember, the thread was already locked!). Then, instead of deleting the posts containing libel and confronting the individual responsible, I get an email stating I shouldn't support my own business when it's being attacked in the news threads and the whole thread containing the news announcement is deleted...
Yeah, since then, I cut back on chiming in on a majority of threads and continuing on as an active member, posting less, here and there which is sad when you consider how long I've been a member. Why? Well, I guess the admins got talked to, but it should never have happened in the first place.
As for setting up a poll here, some might consider it biased. Why here and not AS-N.eu? Or why not ASC? Or ASR? What's to keep people from modifying the results? Additionally, the same individual can vote in a poll several times. We saw this with Ai's "favorite airsoft magazine" poll posted on NL Airsoft last year. I found that after about three days, I could've revoted if I'd wanted to. Also, how many people here have alts? Hundreds? And who's going to check IPs? How do we know it'll be done? Having the votes in our forums ensures that my staff, whom I know personally, won't change, effect or alter the results. I really mean no disrespect by saying this, it's just that I have a reliable chain of property as far as the results go, by having it in our forum.
EDIT: Additionally, we'd have duplicate votes from individuals who are members of both forums. That's nearly impossible to prevent.
Maple-Leaf: You can always delete the account after you vote to prevent spam (which we don't really send anyway).
