Anyone else notice that it has a metal body? Has JG finally stepped their game up?

Just took a closer look at the box and it says the barrel length is 14.5 inches, that's definitely not right. Also it says it has a retractable buttstock, incorrect as well.

Anyone else notice that it has a metal body? Has JG finally stepped their game up? JG has had out there metal MP5-RIS for some time now. They are stepping up their game slowly on all fronts it seems. Internally and externally. -------------------- |

Alright, now all they have to do is start engraving accurate trademarks on their metal bodies and I'll be really happy.

The body looks like its got the JG Logo on the side rather than anything known. I don't understand why they don't go all out and do a really nice body with engraved and accurate trademarks. Like their HK416 for example - make a nice anodized black metal body with the HK trades CNC engraved into the body and then painted nicely and the gun is now full metal and a great competitor for the high-end airsoft market. The internals would be better than the SRC at least. I'm aware this increases costs substantially, but let's say for example it makes it so they have to charge and additional $125 and brings the gun up to $275 or so. That's $275 for a full-metal HK416 with nice internals, way cheaper than the VFC and SRC. That would sell like hotcakes I bet. I know I'd be willing to shell out that much money given the improvements to JG's gearboxes lately. And then they could use that technology to make metal bodies with proper trademarks inexpensively. If they undercut the current rate or so for trademarked Armalite bodies by $30 or so, I bet those things would fly off the shelves. -------------------- |
