The point is not the Crane...the point is the AR stock adapter...

Which is AWESOME!

Para stock (taken apart) + M4/M16 buffer tube + bolt = that... simple, no?

I'm working on a project like that myself, but I'm making my own stock. So excuse the crane on it, since it was for photo purposes only.

Is it something in the water there that makes people replace the letter "I" with a "Y"?

That buttstock is the one he is talking about, I believe. The rear of the stock is more elevated than a regular M4 stock, giving you a proper cheek weld when you are firing it.

Couldnt they have taken a few more hours and replicatd the LE stock? How much would that have cost them? Andthey would be the first and only ones to have one: even the hardcore american anti-clone players would have to buy from Echo1.

why would you want a crane stock on a 249? it just doesnt look right, compared to the butchness of the 249 it looks so fragile and poorly fixed... kinda like it really doesnt want to be there.

I want to see someone stick a CAA stock on one of these adapters, and add the adjustable cheek rest. Add a shoulder pad to it, and you have one nice setup.

I guess its more comfertable but not realistic.

Maybe an M249 CQC mod will be in the works, crane stock and a short front section but still the chain fed reciever.

Not sure that looks quite right, but I do fancy that Magpul mod stock for 249's.
