I was browsing G&P's website looking for M249 parts and saw this in their news section. Having worked with both G&P and Guarder metal body kits, it should be an easier conversion for all of you with stock Marui AEGs as the Guarder C8A1 kit has some minor fit issues, though they were easily fixed.

Here's some more data from their website if the link(click the picture) does not work:

-GP705
-For Marui M4 / M16 Series
Package Included:
-Dust Cover Set
-Bolt Cover
-Metal Hop-Up Set
-Receiver Pin Set
-Forward Assist Knob

Cheers,
Piano

Looks to be a regular G&P M4 receiver base as you said. If so, it should be a drop in fit for most/all guns. G&P's M4 receivers are THE easiest to work on by far.

Comparing the picture of the real Diemaco SFW from the company website with the G&P body reveals maybe 3 key differences. The first is that there is a small Diemaco symbol below the "Made in Canada" text on the SFW. The second and third is that on the SFW there is a Canadian Maple Leaf in place of the large Diemaco Symbol found on the G&P C8A1 and the C8A1 says C8A1 above the "5.56mm" while the SFW does not.

Over all, probably a better choice than the Guarder kit for all of us aspiring Diemaco users, and hopefully cheaper too if it follows current trends.

Picture of my Guarder C8A1 for comparison.

The Diemaco symbol is used on exported rifles, the maple leaf is only used on Canadian contracts iirc

This receiver would only be good for the Dutch C8's sleep.gif

G&P failed hardcore on these trades.

And not everyone is from Canadialand.
Too bac it lacks the N (and probably some other things) to make it a Norwegian SFW receiver.
Still looks good though.

It's a G&P SR25 G&P URX that I used to own. There's an article floating around here in the projects section about my trial and error with it.
