Not a news of huge interest for the majority in these forums, but...

According to LA Gunshop, WA is finally taking advantage of their S&W license and manufacturing a replica of S&W M4013TSW pistol. You can check out the original M4013TSW from here.

While personally I´m pleased to see a new WA S&W GBB (or anything out of their ordinary 1911/Beretta flood), I can´t help feeling a little bit disappointed that they have chosen another compact pistol to replicate. Just like the Shorty .40 earlier (which is a great gun, though). Why not a full sized combat pistol, like 5906, 4006 or something from 4500 series? It´s so typical, after whining for years for WA producing only "boring" 1911 varients, now when they eventually make something different it´s a "wrong" model... It´s the human nature.  rolleyes.gif

That IS a shorty 40 isn't it?

Anyway, totally with you on that - I'd be writing the cheque now for a 4506 GBB....

Cheers.

It sure is nice to see something that's not a 1911 variant or beretta from WA for a change, but I still wish they'd make something more interesting, like a OTs-33 or a OTs-27.
Perhaps it'd be hard for them to get their hands on real steel OTs-27 or 33's for reference, but they could at least try to fill the void of some much needed pistols such as a full-sized HK USP or FN 5-7.

Yup I'm with you on that a 645 would be good or even the original Smith Wondernine the Model 39.

Bet the buggers have changed the mags aswell so I can't use them in my Sidekick.

Full auto on a pistol is like having sex with a women.  She isn't necessary, but it sure as hell is a lot more fun.

Yeah, most likely. M4013 is a single stack .40, when the "Shorty .40" was a Performance Center custom job for full sized, double stacker M4006.

In all other means, that new 4013 is pretty much the same Shorty. Oh, well, fingers crossed for full sized models in the future. Or then WA just resigns the S&W license for another five years, like they did after earlier Shorty varients. If the good people of KSC is reading this, HINT HINT!

Yeah, I usually dislike russian made pistols, they're usually so ugly It makes you want to cry, like the GSh-18, the Tokarev TT, or something like this nasty thing *wipes tear*.
But the OTs-33 is almost perfect IMHO.
Such a simple yet beautiful design.

One big mk23-sized full-auto chunk of steel.

Shame, I'm not really a lover of compact type pistols.

Why couldn't they have done a USP or a CZ97?......... sad.gif

I must admit, despite liking WA's, the endless Colts and Beretta's are becoming boring......
Guns =
KWC Mini Uzi, Sig 551 Swat, WA FBI Trial, WA scw2 Cougar, WA S&W Sigma, KWA G19, KWA 23F, KWA USPc, WA Wilson Tactical Special, Pro-killer 3.9, SV Infinity Expert 5", Fully tricked up Infinity Ltd, KSC M93r, KSC MK23 Socom, Walther CP88 Co2, Walther P99 Co2, S&Wesson 586 4" Co2, Colt 1911 A1 Co2, P226 Co2, Baikal Drozd Co2, Air Arms TX200HC air rifle.....More to follow!

Yeah, a CZ 97 would be wonderful, it's one of the prettiest pistols on earth IMHO.
A CZ 97 B with serrations only on the rear part of the slide, not the one with extra serrations on the front (like the one seen on world.guns.ru)
This one, it's absolutely perfect.

Well if we're getting into fantasies, what about a Mauser M712 GBB or a Stechkin?

A Springfield XD would be good, too, interesting modern gun.

I must admit, little excites me like the idea of a S&W M4506 GBB, though, my Maruzen NBB is fantastic and I was drawn to the gun by a KWC springer!

I ALMOST had a Tanaka GBB once, but it turned out to be Scotch mist sad.gif

Cheers.

I'd love an XD myself... I tried a real one and it was about the most ergonomic thing since the Steyr M.

Bugger, your right, single stack. I'm gonna look a berk, just e mailed WA about something else and while I was on asked if the mags would be compatible.

Why do you reckon it's a single stacker?

It looks just like a cut down 4506 frame and slide, with the double stacking grip, to me.

Cheers.
