I guess they tried to clone the "Sykes masks".

But where is the eye protection? Cause if you use this mask and googles under, I guess vapor won't be long to come.

Indeed, but it seems like a promising base for a project, for those of us who can't be bothered to ###### around with DIY fiberglass, facemolds and such.

This + speaker mesh + epoxy = sorta win?

These are modeled after RS ballistic masks. Hopefully these are glasses friendly... Ao2 versions seem to be too narrow for us semi-blind people.

Its a copy of a real ballistic mask .Doesn't look like you could see much out of ,but with a bit of modding could be alright. Especialy for those who like to do real world loadouts ,and find conventional masks to compramise the realism

I'd hit it biggrin.gif

I think i'll put one on my next order and see what i can make of it, at a minimum its a cheaper alternative to the AO2 un-detailed ones

by the looks of the instructions there is a demonstration of safety glasses fitting inside.#

Whats with all the padding? My persian style mask that cost me £50 has got fck all padding and it hurts like hell!

its a copy of a pointman mask which the pointman in the navy seals groups wear, it allows you to take a point blank ak round to the face, your neck will snap but your brain will still be intact. i wore a real steel one its $7,000 and weighs a lot.

the foam allows for padding so it dont rub onto your face its better that way

This mask is different to the pointman mask rather jason x/hocky mask type per say

The reason I commented on the internal padding is because the forehead padding seems to be totally crooked, some of it covering the eyehole!

But I see new pics are up now, showing that the mask comes with no padding installed, you gotta stick em on yourself.

This really seems pretty win. The eyeholes seem small, but you could just enlarge them. And drill lots of holes for breathing.

Even with the padding would there really be space for safety googles underneath? And then you have to contend with it fogging up... Great look but not very practical!

I know not all people like mesh, but it would be ideal for those who do rolleyes.gif

I have the real mask. And let me just say it is impossible or near impossible for eyewear to be worn under. You can wear shooting glasses under, but it will be pressed against your face therefore making it really uncomfortable. Only way you can wear conventional eyewear (only goggles, no shooting glasses) is over the outside of the mask.

As everyone has stated, it isn't based near AOT, opposite of course. But I did see one today in person- was pretty cool.

Raid, will Bolle X800s get a decent seal over the top of your RS one? If so I'm ordering one today!

decent seal over the top, but the bottom is fully exposed due to the contour of the nose part of my mask. I can tell you bigger goggles like the bolle x500 will have a decent fit due to the thick foam.

I think the smart thing to do with something like that would be to try and fit foam strips under the eyes and then drill hundreds of 4mm holes all over the lower half so there's plenty of opportunity for your expelled breaths to escape.

If you wore that with any kind of plastic lenses fogging is a foregone conclusion.

Exactly what I was thinking. Even if you use goggles or glasses on top it's going to steam up really badly.

Some of that perforated steel mesh stuff, a few pop rivets and a dab of black paint to hide the rivets? The plastic of the mask looks thick enough to support the rivets.
